Split Thread Heart transplant not for muslins

Not so much of a stretch really, at least as it is actually practiced by many religious leaders.
I said I got it.

Because this religious leader is an abuser, all religious leaders are abusers.

To be fair, a lot of religious people also do this. Because forum poster The Atheist is virulently anti-religion, all atheists are virulently anti-religion. That's a mistake too.

I'm sure I don't have to name this logical fallacy.

No, you didn't get it, and your hyperbole is somewhat out of character. Chill a little and read what people actually write. I wrote many and I meant many, not all. Many more are just innocently delusional.

I know what you said. I also know what The Atheist said. They are not the same thing.

Many being a weasel word in this context.

Also that patented atheist misanthropy on display.

Well it depends on what you define as abuse. I think the filling of peoples minds (especially children) with religious nonsense (much of which fills them with hate toward others - Christians hating Jews, as so expertly done by Martin Luther for example) is abuse.

I am virulently anti-religion also, and I can't see how and honest atheist can be otherwise, given the bloody trail left by religion through the ages. Mind you, this does not mean I am anti the religious, in a hateful way. I feel compassion for them at times, which does not mean I will not fight against them, and their influence.

Actually in the context I wrote it it means *not all*, the exact opposite of arthwollipot's use of the word *all* after quoting me.

Also that patented atheist misanthropy on display.

No doubt you meant this to be something of an insult, but there is a fair amount of truth here. I am not particularly fond of humans generally, and religious ones particularly.

I wonder if you're being deliberately obtuse because you think it's funny.

The bigotry you're so offended by (and you're not alone), is the same bigotry you direct toward atheists. Your indignation falls flat in light of your own hypocrisy.

"Bigotry is bad. Except my own."

Pretty SOP, isn't it? I've yet to meet a person who isn't like that.

Mea culpa, I'm bigoted against muslins. On the other hand, I'd slap anyone who puts down Samoans. We all have individual tastes and most people have at least something to offend the virtue-signallers.

I just like to keep mine out in the open so nobody gets surprised.

I've repeated the fact several times that a Maori Member of Parliament in NZ stood up and stated that he would not want his daughter to date a Pakeha. I firmly believe a white MP saying he didn't want his daughter dating a Maori would have been asked to resign. Hone sure didn't.

'This other person is a bigot, therefore my bigotry is justified' is not a great argument. IMHO you're both *****.

A little surprising for someone who calls himself The Atheist. Do you discriminate against any other fabrics?

You may be racist if...

Do you even read, bro? That's not what I said. Try again.

My apologies, here is my new try:

'I'm a hypocritical bigot, fully aware that I am, and am proudly making no attempt to change that' is not a position that affords you the moral high ground, 'bro'.

Personally, I have more patience for someone who admits theirs bias than someone virtue signaling (not you) from the opposite bias.

Absolutely, but there is a difference between being aware of ones own biases, and revelling in them.

Also, the 'muslim/muslin' thing is (to me) so pathetically childish. It doesn't address any legitimate criticism of islam particularly, or religion in general. It's just a playground taunt, whose only purpose is to get a rise out people (and yes, I am aware that that is exactly what has happened here).
