When more than 50% of the country actually like the President and keep electing him and his party, most capitalistic channels would reduce their rhetoric against the guy.
Some Channels were anti Chavez but after the failed coup they realized that most people in the region they broadcast in are indeed pro-Chavez.

and that is just wrong. There are more Private owned TV Channels in Venezuela than there are State owned and public owned TV Channels. And it is even more so if you look at newspapers.

Please show me examples of newspapers and TV stations that are openly anti-Chávez.

It is extremely easy to find anti-Obama news outlets in the US, so if Venezuela is as you say it is, it should be equally easy to find.

well actually i doubted that you even believe me

i would defend him on many things, and not on many other things, this particular point, i do not defend him.

i have merely pointed out some exaggerations and pointed out that the quote , that the OP laughed about, wasn't that wrong at all. and pointed out to an organization that is focusing on the specific law that Chavez is using against his opponent. And i have several times in this thread repeatedly said that i think Chavez is wrong in abusing that law.
i think the law has some legal merit, to protect people being accused of crimes that were shown to not be the untrue. ( ironic for an ex truther i know)
But in context to Chavez his speeches, it is clear, that Chavez is extremely hypocrite to use that law at all. he accuses his opponents probably on a daily basis. And to me it is clear that this is an abuse of said law.and not a legitimate use to defend himself.
