My regards go out to my fellow vets on this day. My sacrifice was minimal compared with many of my brethren. I am glad to have had a chance to serve my countrymen in my small way.
*hat tip*
I submit for this fine veterans' day, a photo I took in a city in Iraq called Husaniyah.

http://yglesias.thinkprogress.org/2010/11/armistice-day-2/Veterans are great and I respect their service...But I think we’d be better off celebrating Armistice Day. War is, at the end of the day, more tragic than heroic and our commemorations ought to reflect that.
It was one of those, "If I don't stop and take a picture right now, then nobody will ever believe me" events.
That picture is total perfection. There is no way to improve it.
The 15-year-old-kid sized baby clothes were pretty good, but it's the unibrow that sets off the whole ensemble.
