My regards go out to my fellow vets on this day. My sacrifice was minimal compared with many of my brethren. I am glad to have had a chance to serve my countrymen in my small way.

I thought this represented my views on Veteran's Day quite nicely:

Veterans are great and I respect their service...But I think we’d be better off celebrating Armistice Day. War is, at the end of the day, more tragic than heroic and our commemorations ought to reflect that.
