That's the point isn't it? Bush was hardly a limited government person. However, his imaginary de-regulation and limited government agenda for the past 8 years are blamed by Obama/Biden at every campaign stop for the crisis.

Big government is more then regulations on business. it's regulations on people as well. That includes restrictions on people (think roe v wade, gun control, gay rights, etc.) It's also size of budget.

Republicans want to eliminate Roe v. Wade, hence they want more government control over people. That's part of my point about the "Big Lie" that Republicans want to limit government.
