Guiliani Suspended from Practicing Law

The purpose of obtaining the items is to liquidate them. Terms of such a sale typically include an appraisal by an expert who is likely to detect a forgery.

I appreciate that. But Rudy is being such a dick about this, and knows he won't ever get the kind of money he needs to pay off his debts by liquidating his assets. So he could think: "◊◊◊◊ it. If I can't have it, they can't have it." And torch everything then cry poor.
 
Giuliani is in trouble again with US District Court Judge Beryl Howell. The attorney for the two Georgia women Giuliani was found to have defamed filed a motion to hold Giuliani in contempt for violating a permanent injunction against repeating false claims. Attorney Michael Gottlieb called them "the exact same lies" that formed the heart of the defamation case. Judge Howell then issued a ruling that Giuliani must respond by next Monday or risk being held in contempt.

On recent livestreams, Donald Trump’s former attorney accused the women of “quadruple counting the ballots” and “passing hard drives that we maintain were used to fix the machine” during the 2020 presidential election — claims that landed him in a trial court for defamation last year. Wonder why Giuliani's legal teams keep quitting? Giuliani is a disaster.
 
Giuliani's so committed to defaming those ladies that he'll probably leave instructions to have that stuff on his gravestone.
 
Rudy was in court today dealing with the defamation suit. Doesn't appear to have gone too well for the G-man. Attorneys for the two women Giuliani was judged to have defamed, complained that Giuliani is still not cooperating. For instance, the much publicized Mercedes-Benz once owned by Lauren Bacall which Giuliani turned over as part of the damage settlement. But he failed to include the vehicle title, rendering it unsellable.

An attorney for Freeman and Moss said Giuliani had turned over the car but not the title to it. Attorneys for the two women have also said they have gained access to Giuliani’s $5m Upper East Side apartment in Manhattan, but have not secured “the keys, stock, or proprietary lease”. In court, the judge told Giuliani’s lawyer: “A car without a title is meaningless … your client is a competent person. He was the US attorney in the district. The notion that he can’t apply for a title certificate – ”

Giuliani cut him off, saying: “I did apply for it! What am I supposed to do, make it up myself? Your implication that I have not been diligent about it is totally incorrect. The implications you are making against me are wrong. I have no car, no credit card, no cash, everything I have is tied up, they have put stop orders on my business accounts, and I can’t pay my bills!” The Guardian via MSNBC

I think Rudy is crazy and all of his antics would land him in prison, eventually. However, I would not be surprised if Trump pardons Rudy. Rudy is probably betting on this and it is fueling his actions.
 
A President can't pardon Giulini for a civil judgment. But he could pardon Giuliani for any criminal contempt charges that could be brought. The judge can hold Giuliani in jail as a "coercive sanction" in a purely civil manner until Giuliani complies. That's not pardonable.

Since he can't possibly ever pay the debt does it matter?
