Good ol' American road rage gunfight

I don't get why people follow or look for aggressive people they encounter in traffic in the first place. Aside from the fact that that is just asking for trouble, I don't understand what kind of anger people posess to even consider that. If you enter traffic, sometimes there are going to be idiots, sometimes there are going to be ********. I've found the most effective method in dealing with aggressive drivers, especially those that stop to shout and hurl insults at you is to just keep perfectly calm and extra polite.
That's funny. I would have expected you to think the most effective method was to shoot first.

The best way I have found of handling people who get all agro when driving is laughing in their face.

They kind of freeze up and get confused

That story sounds fishy. How were they able to find this guy again when they went out looking for him? I want more details.

All around though this is the kind of stupid stuff that happens when you let everyone own pistols. I mean it's kinda super obvious at this point when you compare the USA to basically any other country.

ID the vehicle, keep an eye out for it.

Yep, firearms are connected to the stupid bone.

This has always worked well when I've laughed at my wife. She just loves to share the joke, which for some reason causes her to sharpen the big kitchen knife.

They have arrested the man who shot the woman.

Police make arrest in road rage case

After arguing with a Metro officer and coming to tears on live TV, Robert Meyers Sr., the husband of Tammy Meyers, screamed at a CNN camera, “There’s the (expletive) who killed my wife. That’s the animal, a block away! Are you happy?”

CNN quotes the husband of the victim in more detail:

As the standoff unfolded, the victim's husband approached reporters who had gathered in the neighborhood.

"Are you all happy? You made my wife look like an animal ... and my son. There's the animal, a block away. Are you happy?" Robert Meyers screamed.

So, aren't we feeling sorry for "the victims" in these epically stupid cases anymore? I remember the outcry when the two road ragers died after battling it out in a parking lot and people mocked their dumbassedness. Have we become insensitive, hardened to the plight of innocent victims?

Or is it like many of us have said all along, "This **** is hilarious!"

Who's the victim? She picked a fight and lost. You can't go out hunting and complain when you become the prey.

You are on fire today.

This is the place where I state that this wouldn't have happened in Europe because guuuhns?
I admit that I quite prefer the Paddington Bear Hard Stare(R).

YouTube. It's already full of Russian car crashes, but those are disappointing because most Russians are so used to insane crashes that they're nonchalant about them. A van goes airborne, hits a truck, and they both slam into buildings and collapse them, and the pedestrians just step around the flaming wreckage. They're used to it.

Half the fun of chaos is the horrified reactions. Would you dash a bowl of tomato soup into the face of a rich old lady if there weren't a dowager duchess present to exclaim "Well, I never!" while looking at you through a lorgnette? Of course you would, but it would lack that extra sizzle that makes it so much better. If we must live in a world of madness, at least let's make it available to watch 24/7.

The extra sizzle comes from it being well-chilled or near boiling!!!:D:D:D:D

In the newest version, the story is completely different.

Now the wife did not go looking for the shooter, but they knew the shooter. The wife and son wanted to move the car away from the house so the shooter would not know which house the car came from and...

And I am getting dizzy trying to follow the different versions of the story. It has been retconned more than Spider Man.

The victim is the daughter who won't be getting any more driving lessons from mom.

There could have been an excellent opportunity for mom to teach her daughter about traffic: there are idiots out there in traffic. Pull yourself together, shrug your shoulders and move on. Now she also got the lesson, the hard way.

(and I fully agree with you about mom).

I know from reading this forum that if one was a Muslim, it must be a hate crime.

And now more details start coming out and the original story sounds like a bunch of crap, as I suspected.

"retconned" by who? Has the family changed their story?

What the **** did you guys want them to do, back down? He called her bitch, she protected her rep. You guys aren't from around there, so you don't know.

The original version in the press had the shooter follow the victim home from the driving lesson and then shoot her.

Version #2 had the victim and her son get a gun and go looking for the shooter.

Now we have version #3, shooter harasses victim, victim goes home then gets son and gun to help her move the car so the shooter will not know which house it is associated with, then gets chased by the shooter, loses him, returns home and gets ambushed by him.

I don't know if the family is changing the story or if the press is garbling it, but three very different versions have been presented so far.

Four stories: the father (the guy who told story #3 above) now says that the family knows the suspect, and that the suspect already knew where they lived - which seems to contradict his earlier claim that the victim and her son went to "move the car so the shooter wouldn't know which house" was theirs.
