God's purpose

Not too sure about the spelling but your link doesn't point to it.

Somebody told me about it many years ago. It's a kind of extension of Buddhism where all life forms will ascend to enlightenment and use other lifeforms as a reference.

The humble amoebae however, being the simplest lifeform, has no lower ones to reference to so will never make it. It should be revered then for it's sacrifice.

Pretty silly stuff but then what religion isn't.

Just to give this thread a bit of a prod the input from theists has been limited to say the least about Gods Purpose.

At the risk of laboring the point the best we have had is that God made us so we could get to know him. The universe was thrown in as a decoration I suppose.

The point I can't get theists to address is the very messy way God goes about achieving his goal. So many, would be future companions of God, are discarded in the very early stages of pregnancy, others later on due to common miscarriage. This is assuming the would be potential soul companions, are implanted at conception.

Then there is the geographical location these new potential knowers of God find themselves in. Given the enormous number of variants in Christianity alone the chances of striking it lucky are very slim. The end result is obviously an enormous pile of unsaved souls and a tiny stack of saved ones keeping God company.

Now I know these points have been made before, (many times), but the salient point is the theists will not even attempt to address them.
