God opposes income equality

I think it’s very important that churches get involved and that Christians follow the dictates of biblical principles in casting their vote. I think it’s clear that God has a position on many of the things we deem political today, from life to theft to the doctrine of covetousness, which by the way seems to be the promotion of the left. You know, they talk about ‘income inequality,’ well what is that but covetousness? So how could somebody support that cause if they’re biblical believing Christians?

But why should incomes be equal?

This ignores the OT laws that required a tithe to maintain widows and orphans.

The tithe was for the tribe of Levi (religious class). The widows and orphans could go skim the droppings of the harvest after it was done. Don't you read your bible?

I'm not suggesting incomes should be equal. I'm simply pointing out the this guy had a need for the Bible to support a conclusion or belief he already had and found some quotes to support him. I'm sure opposite and equally correct arguments supported by quotes will be forthcoming.

Ona cause someone PLAYING baseball gets $140,000,000 just to sign up, while no one in the military sees 100th of that amount of money, while actually risking their life.. not playing at war, but participating in wars!
Same for cops! They put their lives on the line, not just the odd hamstring or tendon is at risk!

Deuteronomy 14:28-29:
