• Quick note - the problem with Youtube videos not embedding on the forum appears to have been fixed, thanks to ZiprHead. If you do still see problems let me know.

Ghislaine Maxwell

Not sure what to believe with this story but THIS does sound a bit weird.

I assume that she is paraphrasing her communications but has it been established that Giuffre and Andriano knew each other and sent each other text messages.

She sent a picture by text…. In 2001?

One of them was 14 and the other 17? And she says “you’ll never guess who I am with? Jeffrey and Maxwell and Prince Andrew.” She says she is in London and slept with him. Seems like an economical way of sending all the incriminating evidence between two people with pretty advanced technology for the time.

Sorry, but I am open-minded about it but this is starting to sound like bollocks to me.

Don't worry the UK taxpayer will pick up the bill, as usual for his messes.

I've taken the tour at Versailles twice. You can dispense with your system of government based on coming out of the right birth canal and not damage the tour of the royals' former home.

Story of all these princes who have no responsibilities and rely and trade on their position as a member of royalty.

Well, they really do have responsibilities. How many ribbon-cuttings and school assemblies and hospital visits and other "public duties" do the royals conduct? They are basically paid performers. We can decide we don't like the show, but they probably "work," in a broad sense, as much as a lot of people. And they don't even have the right to express a political opinion. Imagine the scandal if the Queen came out in support of one PM candidate over another.

What's bollocks? Andrew is claiming he never had anything to do with her. She is claiming that she was manipulated and trafficked as a 17-year-old. Nobody is claiming she was kidnapped at gunpoint. Even if she had consensual sex then, she may well have come to realize as an adult that she was abused by skillful, experienced predators. This is a civil case, not a criminal trial, and Andrew is doing everything he can to keep her case from being heard by a jury.

And from the above link:
The prince’s lawyers have taken an aggressive approach to protecting their client. They first argued that the court summons had not been properly served, then attempted to get the case thrown out on the grounds that Giuffre doesn’t live in the US.

Now they are seeking their client’s salvation with the grim fact that he qualifies as a potential defendant in any sex abuse case connected to Epstein. In other words, it appears his possible culpability is being used as his defence.

There really is a contradiction there. How could he rely on the Epstein agreement to protect him if he had never done anything that it would cover?

First commercially available cellphone with a camera? Kyocera VP-210, released May 1999

So, yes. Its not just plausible, its highly likely.

Yeah, that wasn't advanced at that time if that's what he meant. 2000-2002 is when texting really took off and camera phones were common then. Exchanging images was a bit clunky then but was only a year away from MMS which enabled full multimedia embedding.

There's a left one? Is that where the commies come out? I had no idea.

MrsB is in bed, but I gotta check this right now!

Seriously!? The first phones were only available in Japan. Do you think they would have had a Kyocera phone or a Sharp phone? Answer: no!

I remember them becoming more popular and then ubiquitous in Japan when everyone in the UK and US were still using blocky phones with no cameras.

This doesn’t add up.

What is the actual claim? Could she have taken a picture with an actual camera and sent it by text or email? That was certainly possible in 2001.

Seems like a thin thread to hang a defense on.

But what she said was that she texted a damning message and a photograph. This suggests she sent the message by phone. That seems very unlikely to me.

My teenage daughters were TXTing and sending pictures to each other and their friends on their Samsung (V20?) flip-style cellphones by shortly after Christmas 2000, and they didn't have a billionaire sugar daddy picking up the tab!!!
