Getting rid of Pentagrams

Pachez, it's like the other said:

Step one: film the spoon bending phenomenon on tape
Step two: post the tape and your official application to JREF
Step three: display the phenomenon on site to the agreed observer(s)
Step four: buy a less creepy house with the million dollars. :)

Only if you fail to stop at them.

No, wait, that's an octogon.

Yea, but you never want to stop on the octoban:

Pentagrams, Bending Spoons and Clowns

Has anyone commented on how trivial most paranormal happenings really are? Someone posted a few weeks back that he/she found that when looking at the clock it was often 11:11 and "psychic friends" had said soon this person would see 2:22, etc. But what earth-shaking deduction is to be made from that?

And now tableware bends, dropping food before it reaches the diners' mouths. My question is, does your spoon or fork bend back to its normal shape afterwards? Now that would be something! Not to mention making dishwashing easier.

Since we are not likely to see horror-flick effects in daily life, we have to take rather mundane things and assume they are significant. If I become a ghost, I'm going to try to be more creative--probably posthumously apply for the million dollars.

By the way, I can't find the clock-watchers thread, but I would like to advise that person to turn the digital clock upside down and see what the numbers spell at various times of day. Maybe the spirits will send a readable message.

Sorry Folks. This is not a joke. We had hoped for some practical answers (thanks to those who suggested some), but maybe I should drop the whole thing on this forum. Yes, he knows about the million dollars, but is afraid to become too visable with these things. Several of our family members can do "uncommon" things, but we have to live in a "normal" society so have to downplay them in public.

Sorry if I offended you. The joke about metal vs. plastic forks was inappropriate and I apologize.

I was quite serious about advising your family to quit playing tricks on each other, because that's exactly what I think is going on. I think some people in your family are trying to impress each other with these "events". If you'll take the time to examine just one "event" or "uncommon" thing in very fine detail, I think you may discover that it isn't as mysterious as it seemed on first blush.

At the next meal, for example, watch just one person very closely to see how they handle their utensils. Where do their hands go just before the utensil "bends"? Examine all the utensils before the meal, yourself. Test them by trying them all to see how easily they bend. Look under the table for any concealed pre-bent utensils. This is all common sense.

Professional magicians who bend cutlery as part of their acts bend them by hand, and it is quite simple to do. With the distractions at a family dinner, bending cutlery would be quite easily accomplished with a minimum of trickery. There may be more than one person involved in the trick, too, so when someone causes a stir, don't look at them. Watch the person whose forks bend most often.

I reckon pachez has left us, and gone somewhere like the 'Living TV' forum, for bleevers, where (s)he will get heaps of advice more acceptable to his/her viewpoint.

I might mosey on over there later to see.

They don't drive on the left in Yorkshire ?

Yes. I initially thought it was in England, but then realised it's a German Autobahn, which explains the right hand side exit on the sign. Hard to tell , with a dual carriageway, since every lane tends to be in use simultaneously- I suppose trucks are generally in the "inside" lane, but there are none in the pic.

The lane nearest the middle is reserved for fast cars/overtaking. Everywhere on the planet. Unless clearly marked otherwise. Am I right or am I right? (Nice derail, btw.)

Which also explain the (insider joke) about octoban and Autobahn... I think probably only the people living in germany (delphi_OTE, me and ... ?) understood then joke :).

I'm no German, but I still recognize a German road when I see one (and I can even make a horribly bad joke about it!)

ETA This joke may have been the result of listening to too much Kraftwerk.

Right hand side exit from a dual carriageway? You don't need to go to Germany for that, only to Glasgow.

Fortunately the traffic is moving so slowly on that section of the motorway (Charing Cross - junction 18) most of the time that there is little danger of anyone thinking they are in the fast lane and getting a nasty surprise!

Jaggy- I was carefully avoiding mention of the M8.
Azrael 5 is confused already.
