Getting rid of Pentagrams

Thanks, I'll try another source. I can understand how far out this all sounds and do appreciate ALL of the posts everyone made. It is only when doubts are express that truth can be reached.

I would like to ask a private question of one of you (a nice one) and would like to know how to send a private message. I'm sure the instructions are here somewhere, I just haven't found them.

So then why did you come to a skeptics forum and not another forum which caters to the occult or other similar ideals? I'm sure you would have a much better acceptance to your line of thinking there. Here, your going to be met with skepticizm and incredulity. The fact that your posting here suggest an ulterior motive or agenda.
On the off chance that it might be real and an honest inquiry I'll add this. If the house is in Ohio Chances are that the pentagrams are the products of some "goth" teenagers who previously lived there. Nothing new in this day and age in middle America. In fact, when I was a teenager I did the goth thing. (I was "goth" back in the early eighties before there was "goth" so neyaa :P ) pentgrams, satanic bible, H.R. Giger art work, The woiks. I left a few pentagrams carved in some walls and floors in my time. It meant nothing.

As for the "uncommon" things, As my father used to say (being from Missouri) "show me".

Click on their name a drop down menu will appear, one of the options on that menu is to send a PM.

I disagree. There is a real possibility of trickery here, and Pachez has come to the right place if s/he is looking for help in dealing with trickery.
 
What would be really cool is if you could post some video of the spoons actually bending as you eat.

I’m not too far from Lima, and I’m also an expert (or nearly so) in digital video production, but also I have many years experience in the building materials industry, including furniture refinishing.
One thing I’d ask though is, are you making a claim of a “paranormal event”, I mean when one talks about pentagrams the implication is demonic.

Possibly. Did he say if the pentagrams are reappearing when an attempt has been made to remove them? The pentagrams are reappearing overnight would really suggest trickery. I was suggesting how the pentagrams might have gotten there in the first place. Talk about spooky happenings in the previous house could just be idle chatter. Whenever I've moved into a house, or appartment invariably a neighbor will relate some death or "strange" happenings that have transpire in my new abode. Never has anything "strange" or unexplained ever happened.*

He says that the metal spoons bend while they are bringing food to thier mouths. That sounds like it would be a really difficult trick to do without the eater being an accomplice in the trick. Video of the event would be nice.


* although there is one time when A few friends and I were partying in an old cemetary (I did say I was goth in my youth) and we came across two candles wrapped in women's underware. One candle was in the shape of a naked woman and the other was male figure with goatlegs, a pointed tail and pitchfork. At the time we were drunk and stoned so we freaked....sorta. We did take the candles with us. In the area I live in Santaria is practiced and I believe there is a wiccan coven here. I saw the same type of candles in a goth store years later. No big wup.

There's just not enough elaboration in Pachez's posts that warrant further discussion. It's like "our family does uncommon things but I'll just leave it at that so you guys can go running in circles trying to debunk me".

Well if it is a wood floor and the "etching" isn't too deep you might be able to buff them out with a floor sander.

Of course if you do that, you will have to restain the floor.

Hmmmm....well if they're actually burned in too deeply to sand off (at least without leaving a very noticable dip in the wood) then your next option would be to just remove the boards and put down some new ones in that area.

How noticable this will be depends on the kind of wood on the floor, how old it is, the finish ect. You can try to get it to look similar to the rest of the floor with the right stain and finish. But you probably won't be able to completely belnd it in. At best, you'll be able to make it a bit less obvious.

If you want it to actually match to the degree that nobody will be able to tell that the that part of the floor is modified, you're probably looking at either refinishing or replacing the entire floor (again, depending on the wood that is there to begin with)

But in any event...it's probably going to take a degree of experimenting and trial and error to get it to be satisfactory.

Man, when I am hungry, nothing discourages me from eating. The forks can bend, windows can rattle, demons can appear in my alphabet soup. I don't care. I'm hungry.

My kitchen can be built on an ancient burial ground. My dining room can be above a satanic sacrifice site. I don't care, I'm hungry.

Poltergeists can try and snatch the food away from me. I'll fight them. I'm hungry, dammit!

Oh, and btw Pachez, I don't believe that the forks and spoons are bending, at least, not paranormally. Here's why: It's a parlour trick. If there really were spooky ghosts trying to mess with your head, why are they bending your spoons? Why don't they take your spoons and fling them at the walls? Is it because 'spoon bending' is popular with frauds like Gellar? Is it because 'spoon bending' has entered the safe collective woo consciousness, so that all you have to do is mention spoon bending and all the bleevers nod their heads in understanding?

If you'd said you couldn't eat because the spoons fly out of your hands, hover in the air above the bisque, start melting on to the rug, the molten drops reforming into a matchbox 1972 corvette which then runs up the walls, whilst in the meantime the fork tines start elongating and twisting, and you have captured all this on video, then maybe we'd be interested. Or amused.

Spoon bending on the way to your mouth so that your food drops off, and your only reaction is to be discouraged? Laughable. It sounds like a weak gag in a horror spoof:

The new house is haunted! Pentagramz and stuff! AND I was trying to eat dinner and all the food kept falling off the fork coz it was bending!

No, a little discouraged, I mean, it's not that freaky, just makes it hard to eat.
