Vis a vis the "eating outside" nonsense Badenoch is warbling about I see two possibilities.

1. They've not actually done anything at all and they're just making up nonsense out of wholecloth to sell to the gammons.

2. They actually HAVE done something, and have removed some of the restrictions that there used to be about eating outside places, which were mostly for safety and to avoid people being in the way of others.

So either they've further stripped safety and common sense regulations or they're just making up bollocks. What a choice!

Those bloody Eurocrats, restricting an Englishman's God given right to enjoy a Melton Mowbray and a cheese and pickle sandwich on the hard shoulder of the M1.

Got some little pork pies in a crust flavoured with cheese - very nice.

I have an appalling weakness for the M&S ones with pickle on top.

I'll be in the UK two weekends in row at the beginning of next month... I know what I'll be snacking on.

Pork pies to your door? Tory party canvassers in the area? *badoom-tish

In Tory voting areas they'll be M&S Taste the difference with the glaze, claimed on expenses of course, in Labour areas turnip carved into pie shape, sorry, that's all we can afford, austerity, tightening our belts, all in it it together dontchaknow.

Grant Shapps, has ordered an urgent review after it emerged there is a shortage of planes for a mass parachute drop to mark the 80th anniversary of D-day.

Only one RAF transport aircraft will be available as the others are all on operations.

Could it be anything to do with scrapping the remaining Hercules before their replacements are in service to save money?

Maybe Grant should ask the defence secretary why he did it.
