Morgenthau "attempted" no such thing. The entire text of Morgenthau's never-implemented proposal can be read here (starting at the bottom of the page), and what de-industrialization had started was quickly reversed after it became clear that it would result in either starvation or the increased devotion of Occupation resources to carrying out their mandated tasks of feeding the populace and maintaining order. That's why, by 1948, the Wirtschaftswunder was well under way.

As for what you and other deniers are "angry" about when it comes to the Holocaust, white supremacist neo-Nazi Harold Covington once said:

I once saw a documentary about some pea-brained American neo Nazis. They spent most of the program in saying how superior the white race was and how Hitler was a nice guy and that the Holocaust never happened. In the last shot one of the morons turned to the camera and said, ''The Holocaust, coming to a town near you soon!'' How these people manage to remember to breathe is a mystery to me.

In occupied Germany, the thinking behind the Morgenthau plan was reflected in the U.S. occupation directive JCS 1067[6][7] and in the Allied Industrial plans for Germany aimed at "industrial disarmament",[7] designed to reduce German economic might and to destroy Germany's capability to wage war by complete or partial deindustrialization and restrictions imposed on utilization of remaining production capacity. Unhappy with the Morgenthau-plan consequences, former U.S. President Herbert Hoover remarked in a report dated 18 March 1947:

"There is the illusion that the New Germany left after the annexations can be reduced to a 'pastoral state'. It cannot be done unless we exterminate or move 25,000,000 people out of it." [10]

It is argued that it was Hoover's March 1947 statements in his report that led to the end of the Morgenthau plan and to a change in U.S. policy.[10]

Spare me your concern. If Germany had not been the aggressor the Morgenthau plan would not have come up at all. If a nation acts as a thug and a thief, do you expect this to have no consequences for the its people?

Though to be fair, I had relatives on the "other side" as well. My great-grandfather's brother was interned by the British-controlled government in Egypt as an enemy alien, and spent the entire war in an Allied internment camp (and despite that, his descendants still live in Egypt today).
