I will never forgive you. I had no plan on listen to that idiot talk about Bohemian Grove, but because you mentioned my posts, I have been forced to listen to him. The waste of my life is unforgivable.

Yes, this is what they believe. Many of our CT friends believe that clubs like Bohemian Grove are secret societies where the true controllers of the world go to discuss their plans. I'm not making this up. Romanoff could very well believe he is banging on the door of the most dangerous people in the world as they plan to slaughter billions with chemtrails and aspartame. Obama goes there and says things and that's the command. The minions of the New World Order hear him and carry out his orders.

I'm not joking. This is how they describe how the world works. I'm not clear how much of it is really believed, but that's how they talk about it.

I did not know that. But that is the model newspapers used to use. The newsboys you see in the movies (Extra, Extra, Read All About It!) bought batches of papers for slightly less than the cover price, then had to sell them all to make a small profit.

That is funny. (BTW I know a little German, probably enough to book a hotel room, order a meal, or ask directions to the train station.) In English the term is "whipping boy," but the connotation is slightly different. In Renaissance England, because no one was allowed to lay hands on a prince, when a prince misbehaved, his whipping boy was punished instead. Because the whipping boy was usually a close friend of the prince's, this often had the desired effect of correcting the prince's behavior, at least temporarily. So it's more like "scapegoat," because in this case, the whipping boy is innocent of any wrongdoing.

The term can also have the less formal connotation of someone who is abused from simple cruelty or capriciousness, rather than as a scapegoat. One should be cautious in this usage, however, as it has connotations related to slavery in America, and in certain contexts "boy" can be seen as a condescending term for a black man.

Here are the facts:

AE chose not to promote this event.
AE has not mentioned this in their newsletter or websites.
AE knows it is not a completely wise decision, this is evident by the lack of promotion.
You would not know about it had I not told you.

Tell you class what you want. I have not even told you the other half of the story.

Your 'media censorship' angle is not releveant here. This is a case of self-censorship by AE based on an already bad decision by AE.

Actually, I blew the whistle on this event, although I freely acknowledge that I had some help from one of my informants (not Brian Romanoff). The Truthers do not self-police transparently, perhaps because they know it will show up on SLC. Amusingly, this means James or I usually get the scoop.

I actually knew that Gage was appearing at the conference several days prior to the mention in the NOI newspaper, but needed to wait until that came out for confirmation. I had a Google Alert set for the event.

I found Steven Jones comments on the event telling...

it seems that it would have been more-or-less OK at my university if I had spoken of WTC7 and demolition and explosives -- as long as I did not point to any one OTHER THAN Muslims ... or point the finger at Cheney (I often quoted Secretary of Transportation Mineta re: lack of air defenses and Cheney's role).

Is not pointing the finger at Muslims finally the central message of the official 9/11 narrative? with various Muslim nations therefore in the cross-hairs?

I have a sense that we may build bridges with our Muslim brothers, or build animosity. The choice is ours.

And I am totally opposed to a pre-emptive attack on Iran!

In his speech to his flock, he talks about the killing of OBL, and speculates that the reason they didn't take him alive is because they knew they couldn't convict him in a military or law court. Could it be that OBL and Muslims weren't responsible for 9-11? Was it a false-flag attack?

He goes on into some crazy stuff about how the Arab spring was hatched in the USA, to take over the Middle East, but it's not going the way we planned. He rages about the killing of Anwar al-Awlaki, etc. Depleted uranium and white phosphorus also get trotted out.

Amusing to me, he does all this after griping about the things that the nasty Republicans say about Obama. Helloooo?
