This is true. However after nearly 23 years, and especially after the fall of the old regime in Triploi, I'm sure if there was a hint of any evidence whatsoever,it would have been presented in jubilance. The best we ever got was Majid Giaka.
You have to wonder, just how many Giaka's are there in this world?..
Oh sure. Nothing incriminating from Jalil, and nothing incriminating from Musa Kusa, who was actually the terrorist mastermind who planned the whole thing if you believe the "Libya-did-it" fantasy. I think if there had been anything at all that might have shown involvement, it would have come out earlier this year at the latest.
At this stage, if anything does emerge, I would be suspicious of fabrication. But I think it would be hard to fabricate convincing evidence to show involvement in something that didn't actually happen, which is the problem they have. Remember, Giaka was only said to have "excruciating detail" in the press releases. All he actually had was a coached story of having seen Megrahi and Fhimah take a brown hardshell case through customs the previous day. Or maybe it was a month earlier. Or six months earlier. No, come to think of it, it was definitely 20th December. And brown? If I say it was a hardshell is that OK, or do I have to say Samsonite?
Not easy to come by documentation that proves a suitcase went where no suitcase actually went, over 20 years later. Vague assertions of "involvement" without tying it either to Megrahi or KM180 might be more practical.
