Future of the Republican Party

Given that describing FATAL's mechanics would probably lead to a suspension or ban, I'm pretty sure it's leagues worse than Otherverse.
Hmm, I wouldn't be entirely of that. OK there are none of FATAL's infamous table but...
A poorly designed game that uses hyper-sexuality as an attempt to divert attention from the fact that it has a lot of flash but no real substance. Its main redeeming qualities are that it is free, it gives gamers a glimpse at what sort of production standards they can expect from the publisher at no cost to them.
Fields is also responsible for Black Tokyo.

I have no idea who is shocking Millenials by telling them that the Confedrates were Democrats, but they probably need to stop doing it and instead explain that it really doesn't matter what political party the Confederates were. Or are you seriously suggesting that a modern political party should be judged by its actions over 150 years ago?

I do not look at today's Republican Party and say "we cannot trust them because look how untrustworthy Nixon was." Given how different today's Republican Party is from the Republican Party that elected Ronald Reagan, I am willing to say 25 years is a reasonable cutoff for judging a party's past. I realize that the number is arbitrary and reasonable people might choose numbers between 15 and 30 years.

If Democrats don't want to be linked to their history, they should change their name. One would think the KKK, Confederacy, and FDR's concentration camps would be enough it invoke a change.

But you are voting for the party who has KKK, neo-confederates and people wanting to commit war crimes right now.

If you payed attention to media other than Fox News, you would find plenty of anecdotes and studies that show Voter ID laws have stopped many qualified citizens from voting.

Oh yes, Dems always say there are plenty of examples, it's just that they can't ever seem to find any of them. That's why the Supreme Court hasn't even bothered hearing the recent voter i.d. complaints. Perhaps someone is watching too much MSNBC and reading too much HuffPo.

You didn't read the examples given in the thread already then?

I don't have any idea what you are talking about here. Trump has expressed interest in going after ISIS, but that's it as far as I know. I recall reading the KKK in California raised $20,000.00 for Hillary, but she has no control over that. When Obama bombed that hospital a few months ago, I suppose that could be considered a war crime, but actually it was done by a stupid crew whose GPS wasn't working. They knew the target was a building next to a field, then decided to go ahead and bomb the first building they saw next to a field, with no way of knowing if it was the correct target or not. It wasn't.

Sure you don't.

Don't you think you should know something about the candidate you support? Are you doing a "Trump finds out about David Duke" routine?

I read that the moon is made out of cheese.

Correct. Trump, on the other hand, expressed a desire to commit actual war crimes on national television.

I am unsure how to label such a world view, so I will just call it BrooklynBaby-ism.

P.s. Don't forget to add the Spanish-American War to the list of the Democratic Party's sins.

The Dixiecrats were Democrats both before and after the experiment was over, so please leave the Republicans out of it. In any case, this is ancient history and has nothing to do with what is going on in American politics today.

BTW, in America there is a constant effort by the Democrats to assign their sordid past to the Republicans. Millennials are generally shocked to find out the Confederates and KKK were Democrats. They are also shocked to find out our entries into WW1, WW2, Korea, and Vietnam were all led by Democrat Presidents. (Wilson, FDR, Truman, JFK/LBJ, respectively.)

Evidence for the underlined? That Lincoln was a Republican and president of the North in the Civil War is a super well known fact. Also Wilson tried pretty damn hard to keep us out of WW1, and there was virtually no opposition from the Republican party wrt to WW2 and Korea. Not sure about Vietnam, but I doubt it.

BTW, the millennials at Howard University even know that the NAACP was founded by republicans.

He then addressed the audience: “How many of you, if I would have said, who do you think the founders of the NAACP are, do you think they were Republicans or Democrats, would everybody in here know they were all Republicans?”

A loud murmur went up from the audience indicating that, yes, they did know that. Afterward, one student, Michelle Koch, told The Huffington Post that much of Paul’s talk was “a history lesson, too, that we already knew a lot about.”

Gee, it's like Democrats were not always liberals, and Republicans were not always conservatives!

Ehhh they pretty much were in some ways. They mainly represented the smaller yeomen farmers in the mid 1800's of the north who knew rich slaver owners from the south would buy up the best land and drive them out of business given the opportunity.

After that they were the party of very limited government, conservative monetarily, and isolationist. Teddy Roosevelt bucked that trend.

Comparing political views of the 21st century and the 19th just barely even makes sense.

Is a rose still a rose bla bla.....Who cares what they were called back then?

I wonder what the future will bring to both parties after this election. Both parties are looking more than a little confused lately. A socialist, a billionaire TV star, and another contestant with decades of baggage who is being investigated by the FBI. Yeah, I think we will see major overhauls from both parties after this election, but especially the Repubs.

This would be a good opportunity for something new to step into the picture.
