Free Larry Sinclair, Obama's political prisoner

Incidentally, Jerome, just to underscore the evidence against your bizarre view, let me point out that terrorist Eric Rudolf was arrested in North Carolina, despite the fact that the crimes of which he was accused took place in Georgia and Alabama.

Terry Nichols, who aided Timothy McVeigh in the Oklahoma City bombing, was arrested in Kansas.

Remember Ted Kaczynski, the Unabomber? Arrested in Montana, even though none of the bombings took place there.

In summary...You are completely wrong.

Not that I expect you to acknowledge the fact, of course. But you are, nonetheless, completely and totally 100% grade-A wrong.

Jerome, I'd like an honest answer to my question. You got all those ideas here, didn't you?

In fact, I see a lot of your "ideas" over there. Another question: Is NoQuarter one of your regular reads? Be truthful or the head Gnome will stomp on your toes.

It's revealing to see the amount of open fraud thrown at Obama. I guess they figure that open fraud worked on Kerry, they will try it again.

And, you know, since they are playing with obvious malice aforethought to people's xenophobe fears, they might yet make it work.

That kind of crap will play like Mozart in N.E. Ohio.

BTW, did you notice some of the categories this blog post was sorted into?

AIPAC
Cultist Thugs
Iraq
Karl Rove (of all people!)
Messiah

And calling Obama the "self-proclaimed" Democratic presidential candidate?

Honestly, if JdG regularly reads this thing, it´s no surprise he is nuts. I just read the first part of one post, and I could already feel my sanity dissolving.

Who requested that the D.C. police arrest him?

2 US Marshalls presenting an outstanding warrant from Delaware.

It is unusual for police to enforce a warrant in other States.

Frankly Jerome I don't trust this statement from you. As a Johnny Foreigner I have little first hand experience with US law enforcement. (Besides being shot at in Atlanta) However I do know that you're (how shall I put this tactfully) brimming with fecal matter.

Could anybody else on the forum let me know how unusual it might be that somebody with an outstanding warrant in one state to be arrested after coming to prominant public attention in another.

I'm onvioulsy no expert but I thought that this was what the US Marshalls office did.

Not unusual at all. As Cleon pointed out, this isn't The Dukes of Hazzard where you just have to get over the county line to escape the dastardly Boss Hogg. If you're somewhere else and you have outstanding warrants and the local police are aware of said warrants you WILL be picked up and extradited to the local of the issued warrant. No ifs, ands, or buts. Go directly to jail, do not pass go, etc. etc. etc.

He's a prisoner because he is a career criminal with at least two outstanding felony warrants.

I mean, did you mean this to be comedy?

Because is sure is funny!

I have never said Larry Sinclair was a political prisoner.
This is the view of Webster Tarplay.

I do however agree that we need to know the type of person we elect to be president.

If there were an award for the most clueless poster, sort of an anti-language award, I think that there would be no question who the winner would be.

To summarize: Larry Sinclair has outstanding felony warrants against him in Delaware and Colorado.
When he made a public appearance in DC he was arrested, presumably in relation to those warrants, although the charges have not yet been released (presumably, he has not yet been arraigned?)
Jerome thinks that Obama had something to do with this, and that the arrests were illegal because Sinclair committed no crime in DC
Many forum members have pointed out that people with felony charges pending against them who flee to other jurisdictions are routinely arrested and extradited to face the charges against them.
Jerome thinks this only happens in the Soviet Union.
The remainder of forum members think that Jerome is clueless, or a troll, or both.
Does that about cover it?

OK.

Even if this is true (and given your history, I'm less than certain of this):

- This does not mean charges haven't been filed.

- Even if charges haven't been filed, that doesn't mean the police had no business arresting him. (They can legally hold him, I believe, for several days without filing charges.)

- Even if the police had no business arresting him, this does not mean that the Obama campaign orchestrated or asked for the arrest. (I would go so far as to argue that if they had done so, they would have asked that he be arrested before the press conference rather than after.)

- Even if the Obama campaign did ask for the arrest, this does not mean that the arrest wasn't justified, or that his claims were legitimate.

- Even if all the above were true, it still wouldn't make him "Obama's political prisoner."

Non sequitirs and innuendo do not evidence make.

Actually Obama Bloggers did arrange for the arrest of Sinclair on an outstanding warrant from Colorado. They told the local police when and where they could find Sinclair.

You seem to suggest the Obama campaign had nothing to do with the arrest of Sinclair.

Yep.

There is no evidence of the former, and the latter is unequivocally false.

Many forum members have pointed out that people with felony charges pending against them who flee to other jurisdictions are routinely arrested and extradited to face the charges against them.

Yep. I even gave three specific high-profile examples; Eric Rudolph, Terry Nichols, and the Unabomber.

Jerome thinks this only happens in the Soviet Union.

Well, he said fascist states, too.

The remainder of forum members think that Jerome is clueless, or a troll, or both.
Does that about cover it?

I'm not going to go there (and you probably shouldn't either), but I will say that it's very clear that Jerome is completely uninformed on the matters of which he speaks.

Because, outside of paranoid ramblings, there is no evidence that they did.

Those were Federal crimes, were they not?

Please refer to any of the numerous threads on Jose Padilla. Larry Sinclair may have ties to al Queda you know...

...and Barack Obama may have ties to the Communist Party USA.

Liberal bloggers have made their first arrest.

The arrest followed a failed campaign by Firedoglake, a leading liberal blog, to prevent Sinclair from airing his allegations at the prestigious Press Club.

I would be more worried about McCain. He voluntarily stayed with anti-American Communist military forces during the Vietnam war, provided those same forces with military intelligence, and was responsible for the destruction of five American aircraft.
