Since Fox has spent the past six to eight years trying to re-make the GOP into a paleo-conservative organization, I doubt you've seen their best for the coming elections. Wait'll hopefuls start coming forward and they get a chance to go all Glenn Beck on some moderates. Fox is not yet part of the mainstream GOP - they're still trying to take it over and may well be representative of the majority if the party keeps shifting to Caribou Barbie Tea Party country, but they're not there yet.

Rather reminds me of some of the humor one might find among a group of fire fighters. If you can't laugh as the world goes to hell around you, you probably are't going to have what it takes to stand there hosing down the fire.

When we see that the world is in such a shape as to allow even Ron Paul to take himself seriously, perhaps the only logical response is a flipant one.

Laughing at him is certainly better than freaking out over the fact that the universe might permit the existence of such entities.
