Force feeding Guantánamo Bay prisoners

Hold on there, you missed one. All of these prisoners are... MEN! So it's either a religious torture camp or a racial torture camp OR a sexist torture camp.
Wait, I thought of another. Muslims are strictly anti-homosexual. So we have a religious torture camp or a racial torture camp or a sexist torture camp OR a homophobic torture camp!

The US is forcefeeding their victims at guantanamo. First under Bush, now under Obama.

Now what role does race play concerning the selection of victims? We've had british, canadian and german (off the top of my head) nationals at guantanamo, so it can't be nationality.
The only other thing they have in common is religion and that most of them are kinda brown.
So it's either a religious torture camp or a racial torture camp. Take your pick.

It's not a torture camp. They sit around playing video games and eating ice cream.

Must be a real bad torture camp if they're getting tubby and they turn away the treadmills they were given to lose weight because they weren't made by Muslims. Must be a real bad torture camp if they pen op-ed pieces for the New York Times. Must be real bad.

Cos it's a real bad torture camp. Worst torture camp in the world. They're only offered four choices of Halal meals. Real bad torture camp man.

It's certainly torture to be declared innocent of any crime, yet still held prisoner for an indefinite time.

Yeah, imagine not torturing people and respecting their rights to protest. Can't do that in the land of the free.

The reasons they've been stashed in Guantanamo is so they don't have any rights.

I am shocked, shocked, that people that manage to get out of Guantanamo may have a grudge against the US.

A completely innocent (or even mostly innocent) person locked up in Gitmo for years would rightfully have a bone to pick with the USG. But if you're a politician calculating the odds that releasing detainees will blow up in your face :whistling, it's not really relevant. Politically speaking.

Some of the released detainees have gone on to attack foreign governments and innocent civilians. What does that have to do with a grudge against the US?

There are many people who have been wrongfully imprisoned in the US and then released. Some of these people were held far longer than the detainees, and in arguably worse conditions, considering the conditions at Gitmo as compared to your typical US prison. Why don't we hear about these guys going on a rampage after being released?

I do concede that it is certainly plausible that terrorist groups view these guys as easy targets for recruitment following their release, regardless of their prior involvement. It's not an excuse, just as Hurricane Carter wouldn't have been excused for going out and killing judges and DAs after his release.
