Face, meet leopard. Leopard, meet face.

A miscarriage is also an abortion.

The medical termination of a pregnancy is also an abortion. It ends a pregnancy. And ectopic pregnancy is a form of pregnancy.

I think I *might* know what Emily's Cat means - an ectopic pregnancy is never a viable pregnancy. Maybe it should be called something else, but it is by common parlance a pregnancy.
Does the law in question exclude ectopic pregnancies from its definition of pregnancy?

◊◊◊◊ 'em all! ◊◊◊◊ every stupid ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ Latino idiot who supported him!
That would be most of the Cubans in Miami, apparently!

This video is accompanied by a song sung by Miami Cubans wearing MAGA caps: 'I will vote - for Donald Trump!'
Miami Cubans Calling Out Their Own for Voting Against Their Own Interest — Black People Were Right (The Joy Report on YouTube, June 27, 2025 - 15:16 min.)
Miami’s Cuban community is waking up to a harsh reality—after overwhelmingly supporting DT in the 2024 elections, many now find their loved ones facing deportation under the very policies they voted for. In this video, we explore how Cuban Americans are calling out their own for voting against their best interests, fueled by a false sense of proximity to whiteness. Black Americans warned them, but many didn’t listen.

1:09--> I have to explain to you why it it's so different in South Florida. The Cubans there live in this bubble where they're the majority, and they think that they're white. And they live a certain in a certain bubble of privilege where you don't, they don't see, um, discrimination directed towards them because they're the majority. But I promise you, to those Cubans that haven't really left South Florida: Just drive a couple hours north and you're going to realize you're not white. You're not white. You're never going to be white enough for them, you know, so I'm ashamed, I'm ashamed of your votes I'm ashamed of those stupid ******* videos I see you posting.
(...)
2:20--> I see some of you crying on these videos, saying how you regret your vote. I just wish, I wish you had, like, thought about it before. But these are the consequences. This is what happens when you don't give a **** about your other fellow humans. Karma's going to get right back at you.

8:12--> Loved ones, who have lived in the US for decades pay taxes and built lives, are being grounded up and removed. The very policies they celebrated are now being used to tear their communities apart. And it hurts more when you realize it was preventable. For years black Americans have been vocal about the dangers of blindly following someone like the team. They spoke about his pattern of targeting vulnerable groups, his obsession with dismantling diversity programs, and his love for pitting communities against each other. But many Cuban voters ignored these warnings. Some even distanced themselves from the other marginalized groups, thinking their history of anti-communism and their perceived closeness to whiteness would somehow protect them. But proximity towhiteness doesn't mean inclusion. It just means being tolerated until you're no longer usefu.l There's a painful irony playing out in Miami right now.

11:56--> What's unfolding in Miami is not just political fallout. It's cultural and emotional. Families are torn, neighbors are at odds, and there's a heavy silence over the realization that they helped elect the very administration now threatening their existence. And all of it could have been avoided, had they been willing to stand in solidarity with other marginalized groups. It's a painful lesson in whathappens when you prioritize assimilation over alliance, When you believe you'll be spared as long as someone else is the target, when you confuse temporary comfort for permanent security.
Now with the doubling down on immigration crackdowns, many Cuban Americans are waking up to the reality that the system doesn't love them. It just used them. And in this moment of regret, many are turning back to the same communities they once ignored or criticized. Suddenly they want unity. They want understanding.
They want black and brown coalitions to rise up and protect them. But that unity must be built on truth. It must begin with acknowledging the role they played in creating this crisis, and the arrogance of believing they were immune.

I think one of the things that utterly mystifies me, though it also does not surprise me for a second, is that Trump and his supporters long and publicly announced that one of their goals was to induce illegal aliens to self deport by making their lives hell, and strewing inconvenience in their path. How the ◊◊◊◊ did the legal immigrants think that would be done without a general harassment of everyone who might possibly be considered an illegal immigrant? That's how it's done, because that's the only way it can be done. Making life hell for all the ethnic and racial groups to which the illegals belong was always the plan, always obvious.

Racism, white nationalism, pure and simple.

Having to wait for the discussion to come back on topic so I could post it was infuriating, I finished it days ago.
Nice GIF, but its message was totally lost on me.

I have Firefox set to animate images only once, a habit I picked up a long time ago before I started using ad blockers. So by the time I got to reading the post, the animation had completed—and stopped. All I saw was a red face. It was only when I got curious due to Norman Alexander's post that I took a second look and saw the full sequence.

Perhaps you could add a few frames so that the leopard is back in view as the final frame.

Re: Florida republican who had trouble getting an abortion for ectopic pregnancy...
Does the law in question exclude ectopic pregnancies from its definition of pregnancy?
Here is the text of the law in question:

I did not see any mention of the word 'ectopic' anywhere in the law, either as something that excludes it from the definition of 'pregnancy', nor as a specific reason why an abortion may be terminated.

So, under the law, an ectopic pregnancy would still be classified as 'pregnancy', and there is no specific rule that permits abortion in those circumstances.

It is a pregnancy - there is no doubt about that. It is not a viable pregnancy but surely it should be up to god to decide?

History doesn't repeat itself, but it rhymes.

'lol, no, we're not going to eat your face, we just want those filthy other brown people! Yes, pinky promise! Now will you firste vote for us and then just go ahead and apply this seasoning and barbeque sauce to your face? Beautiful!'

According to you, the procedure wasn't even an abortion. Surely doctors would be aware of this? So how could they have been that afraid of violating abortion law?
I'm sure that the hospital would also have had a legal team look at the law and add their input to the treatment recommendation. I find it unlikely that a lone Doctor would have made this sort of decision by themselves without word from higher up the chain

You don't understand! The Cubanos have to vote Republican. Who else is going to make sure that Castro stays dead?

I'm fairly confident that it takes at least 2 doctors to sign off that the procedure is necessary.
