Explosion at the Boston Marathon.

Apparently one of the suspects involved in the Watertown battle is still on the loose, and a massive manhunt is under way. Watertown residents are being advised by "reverse 911" phone warnings to stay in their homes and do not allow people into their homes unless they know them personally or they identify themselves as law enforcement officers.

Yea. Given the mixed nationalities involved, my impression is probably wrong...it just feels like posse/survivalist revolution types.

Unfortunately many Americans are uninformed, and will automatically associate Hindu Indian American, with Muslim. At any rate, this increases social pressure on brown Americans from the Middle East and South Asia.

Do we have any confirmed suspects and their nationalities? Not that this matters, but I have a feeling that these are the "usual" terror suspects unfortunately.

A 20 block square radius? There must be cops pouring into that area right now like gangbusters. One of the most hardcore manhunts of all time in the U.S. is happening right now.

Fox News are reporting that the FBI have confirmed the manhunt under way is connected to the marathon bombing.

The Police presence is massive, with Boston, Cambridge and Lincoln Police having all converged on the area. They are currently intensifying their search "along the river"

From the audio of the shootout, it appears that police is a bit on edge due to the massive amount of gunfire. The guy may be a suspect, but whether he actually did it? Now is a very bad time to be a robber in Boston, cop killers aren't also guaranteed to be captured alive.

There are also reports of stun grenades and controlled explosions by bomb squad. Something was probably thrown out of the car and they're just taking precautions.
 
The police have just confirmed they are actively looking for White Hat, Suspect # 2.

They are saying that the individual in the white cap is suspected of being a Caucasian male. This may very well be a multiracial crime. Was there some sort of political movement in Boston that I'm unaware?
