Wasn't it mentioned upthread that the arresting officers demanded he undress completely? Presumably against suicide vests etc...

No longer a suspect, but one suspect they did catch is reported to have died. Unconfirmed reports of another officer down.

Stripped when the person might be associated with a bomb. Not unusual given the circumstances considering that the reports right now from scanner feeds seem to have bombs being tossed during the chase. Fog of war and all of that. A bomb vest type situation is a possibility given what has happened so stripping a suspect down is a reasonable precaution.

You can even see the guy closest to the camera laughing here, while almost everyone else is walking or running away. He also has sunglasses on to avoid facial recognition. I think I just found who did it.

Whoever guessed earlier about Sunil Tripathi might be interested to hear that I'm told the Boston PD has been throwing his name around the radio since this incident in Watertown began.

He suggests that the two suspects must have had support to carry out the bombing, and that the MIT Policemen who was shot ITLOD may have stumbled upon associates of the bombers.

The fact that the Police are reporting large amounts of explosives and firearms could possibly bear that out.

I thought I had checked every link in this thread all evening and I had not seen that pic until ~10 minutes ago on the news. I rechecked the FBI site and found it's the pic the FBI cropped the two front face shots from and added to their site about two hours ago.

It wasn't on their site back then (the full shot).
