I would think the meaning of the words critical and thinking itself should be enough of a clue about the meaning of the term, at least enough to understand that it doesn't mean 'firmly believing in things for which there are no logical arguments.'

I agree.
At this point I, understand the definitions of critical thinking and speculation/creative thinking and I certainly will use them this way.
However, I have scoured this forum and they are not defined. Perhaps they should be.

I sense that threads in general have a certain psychic vitality as this one does. It is almost like a psychic sense of momentum that pulls me in and I feel attracted to interacting. When that runs out for everyone the thread stops.
So I postulate that whoever interacts with this thread has entry to psychic pool which is contributed to by each poster and has a life of its own in the psyche to which we all have access. And this is why forums are so popular, they reflect a stimulating psychic vitality.
So HI everyone, please let me introduce myself, I am in the psychic reality of the thread.

This sounds like nonsense but perhaps it isn't. Perhaps I don't understand what you are trying to say. Therefore, please explain further what you are proposing.
Here's another very good source about critical thinking. (I mean, come on y'all KNOW my thoughts on Wikipedia...The differences between opinions based on critical thinking and opinions based on creative thinking and speculation are clear in a way. In another way, though, I wonder if in this particular thread what we're really talking about is opinions which have been clearly defined vs. those which haven't. If these opinions haven't been clearly defined, then we can't judge what type of thinking they're based on to begin with.
But why would you judge an opinion if it wasn't clearly defined!!! You really don't know what the opinion is.
Wouldn't it be a bit foolish not to ask for a clarification first?
Many people have asked for clarification of your opinion in this thread, but honestly
Give it a rest!
I will. I had already given up on expecting you to offer any kind of logical explanation for your beliefs. I was just pointing out the irony of you calling people foolish for not asking you to explain, in a thread that consists mostly of people asking you to explain.
