I am unsure a playboy, pimp, trafficker, whatever such as Epstein would have a "client list".
A list of contacts, yes certainly, but not a smoking gun database of who had sex with underage girls.
The two concepts seem used interchangeably, which diminishes people's arguments.

It's pretty simple. Trump was more than happy to humor the conspiracy theories when there was political advantage to be gained by it.
Now that he's the one being asked to produce these "files" or "lists" of "clients" that he and his allies claimed the government was hiding to protect powerful people, he doesn't want people to talk about it anymore. Because, like, there's other more important things we should be focusing on now.
