Trump, as usual, is tweeting lies:

The DNA test highly supports Warren's claim of having Indian ancestry (Warren never said "heritage" but I doubt Trump knows the difference between ancestry and heritage.) There was no scam and no lie.

I find it hysterical that Trump should call anyone else out for lying, scamming, and being a fraud. Oh, the sweet irony! Trump University?

As for Harvard not hiring her:

1/1024 maybe from Peru. Highly.

Talk about fraud.

Hilarious that leftists have decided to defend ******* female frauds like Warren, just like loser Clinton.

Talk about fraud is right. It is a fraud to say Warren is lying. This is the Republican method. Lie and lie and lie some more. Why bother with the facts when you can make **** up.

It's hilarious that you would say Warren is a fraud when Trump is the biggest fraud anyone has ever encountered.

Warren has worked for many years to prevent fraud and the Republicans first act was to destroy or make toothless the Consumer Finance Protection Act, the agency she use to lead. Trump OTOH has spent his entire life trying to defraud his customers, bankers the State of New York, the IRS.

I can point to and prove all these things about Trump, yet you defend him tirelessly. And at the same time you attack Warren and you can not prove anything. Something is seriously wrong about that.

I definitely have not looked into the ins and outs of her claims, but just have one comment. If you were contributing to a Native American cookbook, wouldn't it make sense that the recipe shared would be attributed to a certain tribe? Just as if you did a Middle European cookbook, you might say whether the recipe came from Poland or Hungary?

The cookbook thing sounds silly to me, but the cryptic yearbook entries in Kavanaugh's yearbook are just as ... silly? I don't know if that's the right word because a specific individual was named in a hurtful way. It's just many degrees of separation away from whether some is a good judge or a good senator.

She copied the recipe from a French Chef.

Are you saying her name wasn't in there every year during that time span? That's what Breitbart said. This pedantic stuff gets tiring.

Are you saying they asked her every year?

And again who cares? Why does this matter? Why is it that at most ONE tiny story told by Warren (A story that cannot and has not been disproved) is mportant to you when Trump the President you support has told over 5000 lies in the last two years and has spent a lifetime defrauding people form busboys to students to carpenters and taxpayers?

Please tell us why.

"For every year between 1986 and 1995, Warren identified herself as “Native American” in the Association of American Law Schools Directory of law professors."

But that's not what Breitbart said. It's not being pedantic, as what they said is misleading. Breitbart implies that Warren identified herself as a Native American for each year between 1986 and 1995...i.e. as if she ticked that box 10 X (one for each year). She did not. She ticked the box one time each in '86, '87 and '92. Notice that she spent only one year at Harvard in '92 so her name would not have appeared in the directory at all in '93 or '94. She did not tick it in '95 or after at all. Breitbart was, at best misleading, and at worst, lying since she did not appear in the directory for "For every year between 1986 and 1995".

One more time:
Given the association’s process of sending the form to new faculty, it is possible that Warren filled out that form three times: once in 1986 when she was at the University of Texas, in 1987 when she moved to the University of Pennsylvania, and a third time when she spent a year as visiting faculty at Harvard in 1992. In 1995, when she moved to Harvard, she no longer appears in the minority teacher list.

So what? This is the description from the cookbook:

A collection of recipes from families of the Five Civilized Tribes. (Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Creek, and Seminole) Over a thousand recipes covering all kinds of food with sections on appetizer, soups, salads, bread, main courses (meats of every kind), vegetables, and desserts. 6 x 9, 354 pages, paperback.

Note that it is a collection of recipes. It does not say "original recipes" or even "Native American recipes". It's merely a collection of favorite recipes that the families contributed. BFD!

It's more than stupid for this to be continually brought up as if it proves a damn thing. It's nothing more than manufactured outrage. I'd be more outraged by a public fart.

Five tribes, and one huge fraud. Betsy Warren, racist.

The Big Dog, 169 posts in this thread. Not one of them true.

Again Big Dog, where is your proof that Warren does not have native American blood? 169 posts saying Warren is lying, a fraud etc. Not a single one of those posts are anything but smear. Not a single post disproves Warren's little claim. Not one of them shows Warren is a racist or a fraud.

And again, I will ask. Why does this story generate so many posts and Trump's lies does not generate a peep of condemnation from you?

The hilarious thing is that reading this thread reminds me of the 2016 campaign.

Warren is a dope, admit it and maybe you might not get stomped on

I'd say its even more than that.

Elizabeth Warren is a person who came from a modest upbringing and has risen though it all to become a prominent Law Professor and advocate for protection of consumers. She has devoted much of her later adult life to the service of the people. She has championed the protection of consumers from fraudulent and/or misleading financial products, served on a Congressional oversight panel overseeing the US$700B Troubled Assets Relief Program and served as assistant to President Obama and special adviser to the Treasury secretary during the launch of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

A whole bunch of lies, fabrications and untruths have been created by Trump supporters, in an attempt to assassinate Warren's character

Lie #1. Warren claimed to be a member of the Cherokee tribe.

Fact: She has never made such a claim, ever.

Lie #2. Warren used her claimed NA ancestry to get a position at Harvard Law School.

Fact: She already HAD that position at Harvard before she was asked about any possible minority status. Out of the remaining 31 people who were involved in hiring her, 30 have said that her minority status was never discussed, the remaining one said he didn't remember one way or the other.

Lie #3. Warren used her claimed NA ancestry to make personal gain and to advance her career.

Fact: There is zero evidence that this has ever happened. Warren advanced her own career through her own hard work, and through her care for others.

The bringing up of a description in a Families recipe book from over 30 years ago is an act of pure desperation, a dredging of the depths of the mire that passes for the average Trump Sycophant's mind, to find something, anything they can exaggerate, mischaracterize and misrepresent to attack her.

The fact that Trump Sycophants continually return to that Families recipe book is also an act of desperation, one that they carry out so that they can continue in their attempts to manufacture outrage.. it shows exactly what they have got... a big, fat nothingburger.

Its worth noting that before the mid-1990s, i.e. the time at which she "ticked the boxes", Warren was a registered Republican.

Yes, it's manufactured outrage that's intended to provoke actual outrage among people with actual moral compasses, in the service of a con-artist who seems to be completely unable to find it within himself to act like a decent human being, under any circumstances.
