I am hearing that the BFF have brought in a new rule making it a banning offence to hoax. Are they trying to apply this to you, and if so, will you be fighting?
Mike
This is the first I have heard of any new rules at the BFF. Sounds like an interesting rule, and it would be doubly interesting to read what it says. But to be honest, I have not been "attending" the BFF forums lately, so things like new rules, or new threads are outside my awareness. It's spring here, and I have so many other things to do that are not bigfoot related, that I haven't really had the time or even interest to go argue with people about nonsense.
The whole Ketchum ordeal has been a glimpse at how absolutely crazy the whole bigfoot world can get. The study goes belly up, no data for anyone to examine, and what little there is seems to be a convoluted mess and mixture of various contaminations, and the way the paper was written does it no favors. Add to that the corroborating evidence, the videos, appear to be videos of Chewbacca sneaking around at extremely close range. Pretty sad affair, actually.
The PGF topics have long since run into dead ends, but like so many other threads there the topics act like zombies that keep on going not realizing they are long since dead. Going round and round with people who refuse to see blatant wrinkles and folds, who also refuse to accept that not a single specimen has ever been documented which would make Patty one of at least two, if not more examples of this mysterious beast, well, it just has gotten kind of old at this point, so I have kind of run out of steam as far as posting (or even reading) to the threads there. Kind of burned out on it all.
As far as them banning me for being a hoaxer, I suppose they could do what they want, however they can only suspect me as a hoaxer because they absolutely cannot prove that I have hoaxed anything. They simply don't have evidence to support that. They have suspicions, sure, they have their IP address thing, but hey, if the Elbe tracks were indeed faked by someone, I could easily give a dozen possible scenarios which they have not considered, and which would demonstrate that they have no idea what they are really talking about.
And like has been said here, if they decide to start banning hoaxers, they better narrow down the criteria for hoaxing so that they only use the rule on who they deem undesirable, because as far as I am concerned the vast majority of bigfooters are hoaxers to one degree or another. Starting with the big names, the famous, the iconic figures, you name it. Bigfoot would not exist if not for the insiders hoaxing. But of course, it's better to go after those seen as outsiders, so as to deflect attention from those the community doesn't want to lose, those with some sort of immunity.
