Elbe Trackway

:D Good one Drew. What does that make you then, a BigFooter message board analyst/stalker?

I'd be the first to admit that I'm a Bigfooter, if Bigfooter means 'someone interested in the Bigfoot folk story/or the medical reasons for Bigfoot'. I'm just not a Bigfooter if it means 'Someone who believes an Unclassified, Giant, Hairy, Bipedal Apeman is living in the peripheries of semi-rural North America'

Which one are you Odinn?

I am interested in the bigfoot story as an example of folkore gone mad, I find that fascianting and is up there with the Alien abudction mythologies.

Yeah and it's going from mad to madder; in my brief period of interest I've seen footie go from the ability to throw a pig to the ability to throw a grizzly bear. He can bench 2000lbs someone posited, is bipedal with 4wd as an option and is smart as a whip, as well as faster than a speeding locomotive and able to leap tall buildings with a single bound.

Okay, I made up the last part but soon that will be part of the folklore as well.

Bigfoot is smarter than humans, it can evade electronic cameras, infrared red cameras, hair traps, wildlife survey flights, and even bullets.

However, you put a Zagnut on a stump, it instantly becomes as stupid as a cow.

Well, what would it do for a Klondike bar?

It looks like the thread may be turning a corner. Fuzzy and Martin are testing the waters to see if sanity still floats.

they are sooo mad at Tontar!

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

I happen to have information about who faked the London Trackway, but i will never tell as the person involved asked me not to tell until they themselves made it public.

they emailed me pictures that backed up their claim too.

I haven't told anyone on the BFF I know this, but I did say something on the bE blog about it. I haven't gone back to check and see what the comments were. should do that now.

From post #208 I would speculate Martin may have a short lifespan on the BFF and will soon be posting here at JREF. He has the audacity to question expertise of the "experts".

I see that Tontar got crucified today on the BFF. I feel sorry for him though because he seems like a pretty nice person.

Hey, I'm still here, alive and kicking. Maybe assaulted in bigfootery terms, but realistically nothing that serious. I'm more of a big picture person for the most part, and while those recent upswells of "activity" on the Elbe track evidence created a bit more of the same sort of kerfuffle, it seems to have died down as quickly as it burst into flames. In fact, quite a few of the threads on the BFF have lost a lot of steam lately.

When the vast majority of bigfoot activity is all about hoaxes, or fakery of some sort, whether known at the moment or to be known down the road, it doesn't bode very well for the state of bigfoot culture. It's still the same stuff rehashed over and over again. The PGF has even lost a lot of romance to me, which has always been my biggest interest in bigfoot topics. It's been a stalemate for, well, since it was made I guess. Can't prove it was real, can't prove it was fake, although there is SO much circumstantial evidence against it that it's kind of a no brainer to conclude it was fake. And that's without having to even think about pulling out the "no other bigfoot ever documented to exist" card. So picking away at frame by frame analysis and commentary has just gotten so old it hasn't even been able to get a rise out of me.

I've even managed to kick the habit of watching Finding Bigfoot. When everyone in the house complains about it, how absolutely ridiculous it is, even the gradeschoolers, well, it's time to give it up. They never find anything, and it's insulting to watch. So I haven't seen that show in ages, and it feels good to have that non-monkey off my back. ;-)

I guess I am pretty much burned out on bigfoot stuff now, which is why I haven't been posting or even monitoring threads that much lately. It's spring too, which means less time indoors and more time outdoors doing other things, non-BF things. Interestingly, I do seem to have attracted some stalkers on the BF side of the world, even while living on the down low. I won't comment on that for now, but some seem to know where I spend my spare time, and seem to be making their presence known as well. Creepy. Which, again, is even more reason to back away from the BF campfire. I don't need stalkers.

Oh, and OS, I am a fairly decent person, particularly away from bigfootery. If you're ever in the Seattle area, drop me a line. We could get together and have a few good chats about things. Around here, there's rarely a dull moment. Something is always going on, and it's rarely BF oriented. :-)

So those that are infuriated because they think they have proof that you faked tracks using simple wooden stompers that were mistaken for some high tech complicated process and then got mad because they were fooled by something so simplistic are now stalking? I think there is a disconnect there with ethics on their part, sounds like some bad sour grapes to me. The smart thing to do would be to let it die before someone takes snap shots of the political threads in the Tar Pit on the BFF and sends them to Homeland Security. No one will ever accuse a footer of being a genius.

Tontar.

I am hearing that the BFF have brought in a new rule making it a banning offence to hoax. Are they trying to apply this to you, and if so, will you be fighting?

They have a lot of banning to do there if that is the case. Anyone spouting their bigfoot story or evidence.

Hoaxing and fabricating stories is part of what keeps the discussion there so alive. I can't imagine what the BFF would be like without it. Reducing member traffic is not what the staff wants, so I seriously doubt they will ban any hoaxers.

This is about as honest an assessment of that forum as I've ever read.

Bravo!

This is the first I have heard of any new rules at the BFF. Sounds like an interesting rule, and it would be doubly interesting to read what it says. But to be honest, I have not been "attending" the BFF forums lately, so things like new rules, or new threads are outside my awareness. It's spring here, and I have so many other things to do that are not bigfoot related, that I haven't really had the time or even interest to go argue with people about nonsense.

The whole Ketchum ordeal has been a glimpse at how absolutely crazy the whole bigfoot world can get. The study goes belly up, no data for anyone to examine, and what little there is seems to be a convoluted mess and mixture of various contaminations, and the way the paper was written does it no favors. Add to that the corroborating evidence, the videos, appear to be videos of Chewbacca sneaking around at extremely close range. Pretty sad affair, actually.

The PGF topics have long since run into dead ends, but like so many other threads there the topics act like zombies that keep on going not realizing they are long since dead. Going round and round with people who refuse to see blatant wrinkles and folds, who also refuse to accept that not a single specimen has ever been documented which would make Patty one of at least two, if not more examples of this mysterious beast, well, it just has gotten kind of old at this point, so I have kind of run out of steam as far as posting (or even reading) to the threads there. Kind of burned out on it all.

As far as them banning me for being a hoaxer, I suppose they could do what they want, however they can only suspect me as a hoaxer because they absolutely cannot prove that I have hoaxed anything. They simply don't have evidence to support that. They have suspicions, sure, they have their IP address thing, but hey, if the Elbe tracks were indeed faked by someone, I could easily give a dozen possible scenarios which they have not considered, and which would demonstrate that they have no idea what they are really talking about.

And like has been said here, if they decide to start banning hoaxers, they better narrow down the criteria for hoaxing so that they only use the rule on who they deem undesirable, because as far as I am concerned the vast majority of bigfooters are hoaxers to one degree or another. Starting with the big names, the famous, the iconic figures, you name it. Bigfoot would not exist if not for the insiders hoaxing. But of course, it's better to go after those seen as outsiders, so as to deflect attention from those the community doesn't want to lose, those with some sort of immunity.
