Just checked here, and found a bit of a surprise. Kroger's house brand Grade A large eggs are $6.49 per dozen. However, they also carry Eggland's cage free Extra Large Eggs (they don't say Grade A) at $4.79 a dozen.

I eat lots of dairy and eggs and my cholesterol levels are not high. The one thing I cut out that I miss is vegetable shortening. I still think Crisco is the best for a great crust on a pie. It's also makes in my view the best fried chicken. But what I read about it convinced me to stop using it.
If you're wary of seed oil, SciBabe did an article about its safety.

Well, I think the people that trump might actually unite is everyone who hates him.

Some anonymous maga weirdo on the msn forums was screaming that it was all Bidens fault that (all of a sudden) he has to pay $9.00 (£7.26) for a dozen eggs.

They said they were from Washington State, but I haven't seen that price anywhere. $6.99 (£5.64) is the highest I've seen, and the prices in the city are almost always higher than the rural areas.

Has anyone else seen that $9.00 price?

Of course, I corrected them. I told them that Biden wasn't president anymore, and since the maga weirdoes started blaming him for everything from the minute of his inauguration, it's now the fat clowns turn.

That didn't go over very well at all, and they called me a lefty and a democrat, but of course, I'm not, and I told them so, but like all the other deluded maga weirdoes out there, they didn't believe me.

Anyway, sorry for the long rant.

No need to think it. It will happen. :sneaky:

Meanwhile, back to the eggs! :)

We don't usually buy eggs as my wife doesn't like them.
Buit yesterday, on a whim, I bought a dozen at Ruler Foods (Kroger's answer to Aldi) for $2.99.

I looked at the price of eggs at the other store I go to (Meijer) and the they were $4.69/dozen. Cage free grade A large.

When eggs are $20 a dozen in a few months, I want the credulous maga weirdos to tell me why. It should be a knee slapper.

And complete, utter, bull ◊◊◊◊.

I got 2 dozen cage free AA eggs at Sam's last week for $9.24, so $4.62 a dozen. There were cheaper options like the organic cage free grade A for $8.74 for 2 dozen.
