Really everyone should have their proof of citizenship with them at all times, it is a crime not to, punishable by permenant stay at gitmo.

I always carry my drivers license with me. Its REAL ID so proves Im a citizen. Or at least a legal resident.

If they are accused of being here illegally, and this is wrong, the accused do have the ability to attempt to prove they are accused in error.

Only if the4y have due process, otherwise the accusation is enough, it certainly has been enough to get a lot of people deported lately, you must be happy that there was no due process in the deporting of "gang" members who had any kind of tattoo at all. The mere presence of any tattoo shows one is a member of a terrorist gang.

I have no doubt that if you are here legally, and accused of otherwise, you have the ability to prove the error.

But you need a venue to prove it in. You are against giving them a venue so the accusation is sufficient to lock them up for ever.

I imagine this will get sorted out, and everyone accused of a crime or being illegal or being a gang member will have Due Process to contest the charges against them. Courts will probably force it.
