Dowsing it work for me!!

Yeah, Randi has an anecdote where he and Dick Smith ran a dowsing test some years back on 10? dowsers and after they all failed, only 1 doubted his abilities afterwards. Then, before the doubting one even got home he stopped and rang Randi and said that is was the radios that they were using that messed him up.

I don't mind having my skeptical negative thoughts though. They form a shield that protect me from a** probes from the UFOs...although they do also block the healing energy certain family members keep sending my way. Bugger.

Dowers are a funny people. Put them in a room with boxes with contents known to them and they can dowse away all day with no problem. Now use the same room with unknown contents in the boxed and let the excuses begin.

I especially liked Edge's excuse about the gold colored paint on the books interfering with his powers, very creative. At least he got tested, Old Bob seems determined never to go near a test.

So... are you contacting the Australian Skeptics? They've tested dowsers before, with Dick Smith (and James Randi) in tow, so they know what they are doing.

Furthermore, dowsing is pretty much the easiest of all supernatural powers to test. It is much simpler
than testing x-ray vision used for medical diagnosis, than testing homeopathic claims, and than testing telepathy. The other advantage is that all sincere dowsers readily and enthusiastically agree to the type of structured testing required. THere really is no honest reason why a dowser would not want to be tested in a fair manner.
