Donald Trump

His final pre-Election rally is scheduled for tonight at 10:30 EST. Awful late! (and he will be too, I'm sure) It's the 4th one he's doing today. I'm going to watch it because this may be my last chance to see the master 'bater in action. He's going to be exhausted, but pull out all the stops. I don't doubt we'll get at least a few instances of incoherence. This will be delicious.

I hope the attendees have booked transport for what could be a 00:30 (or later - if he keeps them waiting) finish.
Thinking about it, they're cult MAGA, so they probably haven't.

God knows Trump wouldn't help them with transport. He left them out in the heat multiple times this summer.

Sure, I'm willing to cut him some slack in the absence of more evidence. OTOH, "I don't remember doing this thing because I was zonked out on drugs" is not, ideally, the sort of thing you like to hear from a (presumably armed) law enforcement officer.

Taking a prescribed sleeping medication when he's off duty is fine. I'd rather that than him going to work sleep deprived.

Doesn't change the overall point turingtest was trying to make though. I mean, he still is an armed individual in that I'm positive he doesn't leave his gun at work. If you repeatedly black out on a drug then you should probably be asking your doctor for a different prescription. Ambien isn't the only sleep-aid in existence.

Considering we just had the Daylight Saving Time shift, and some people have not yet adjusted, that is really late for such an old man who's been on the go for days. ;)

Rodgers said he stopped taking his sleep medication immediately upon being alerted to his FB posts by a coworker and contacted his doctor for another sleep-aid.

Right, but he had made a few posts before since he stated he knew it made him make posts that were "out of character" and he was quick to point out the drug as a scapegoat. I don't have much more to add, but if I blacked out on a drug I was regularly taking I would immediately stop taking it.

I have no argument with that. I take Ambien regularly, but I'd stop taking it if I posted ugly and hateful social media posts or displayed any of the other side effects associated with it. For me, all I do is fall asleep instead of lying awake all night.

Call me a masochist, but I'm going to watch his final rally on C-SPAN.

He's looked and spoke so haggard and worn, that I think he's going to really go off the rails (over/under is 2+ hours). They don't call it political theater for nothin'.
 
I read snippets that the Trump campaign is saying the Pittsburgh rally will be the final one. There's the late one in Grand Rapids Michigan I mentioned. Is he going to cancel it? He's already at least 90 minutes late in Pittsburgh.

? Labour infighting has cost them any number of elections but the possibly relevant point here is the polls were wrong because voters were disproportionately more embarrassed to admit they were going to vote one way rather than the other.
