Moderated Donald Sterling, Owner of the Clippers, is Racist

No matter the thread, no matter the topic, this is so inadequate as to be laughable. Just watch and I'll prove it...

I viewed several programs on MSNBC and CNN and didn't see evidence supporting your claim.

Do you care to provide evidence? This is a skeptical forum, sharpen your pencil.

Perhaps avoiding insults would be more profitable and enlightening than showing a definite lack of ideas and failing to advance the debate. Watch again, particularly with Big Ed and Rev. Al coming up. This is a discussion forum not a courtroom.

I think we should have a mirror topic of ever thread on the board.... one where the same losers can argue over the politics of everyone involved.... and one for the people that actually want to discuss the issue.... and scrut.

Didn't your whole point just completely fall apart?

Protip: If your intention is to dismiss a single example as being insuffient, maybe ask for more than one example to begin with. That way, your arguments seem less like disingenuous attempts to score debate points.

I never wrote or implied that a single example would be sufficient to prove his claim. His claim was more general and included the plural "conservatives," which would necessarily require at least one example from at least two separate "conservative" posters to prove, even if we construed the claim in its weakest form (i.e. assuming an implicit "some" before the word "conservatives" rather than "most" or "all").

I merely asked if he could provide a single example, which he couldn't. I genuinely wanted to see if there was something I missed, although I suspected I hadn't (and wanted to make that point as well). Aside from ABC10's trolling, I think the so-called conservative posters have acquitted themselves pretty well, and much better than many of the liberal posters who have taken ABC10's bait.

What point? Let's see if the correct Donald T Sterling is a Repub. If he is, welcome to the fold Don and get that check book out to donate lots and lots of money to the Conservative Candidates, but most of all to the Conservative Black Fund and Mia Love. We need the help. See how those libs treat you, Don.
Actually, waiting for confirmation, but another Billionaire in our camp won't hurt.
A massive billion to Rabbi Eckstein to help poor and needy Jews would be great and help in getting the Ukraine Jews to safety in Israel. Perhaps, this is the Hand Of G-d working to return Don to his roots and use that money for good. Okay then!

Posters are more then welcome to flock to your posts should they want to do so.

There's a difference between politically incorrect gaffes and detailed diatribes that describe how awesome slavery is.

Racist mooching criminal Cliven Bundy isn't necessarily a racist because he used the antiquated, un-PC term "negro". That could just be a demonstration of his age. The racism is in his personal pro-slavery philosophy he was kind enough to share with the world.

Same goes for that Duck Dynasty clown and registered Republican Donald Sterling.

Yes there is. There is also a difference between a sitting US Senator and a private citizen. Trent Lott made a politically incorrect gaffe on par with things that Reid, Biden, and Byrd said (and contrary to those other examples, I think he legitimately didn't intend the meaning ascribed to his words), and he lost his Senate Minority Leader position because of it.

I'm generally averse to the whole bickering thing about making a big deal out of peoples' political parties when they're being criticized for completely separate matters; but just because of what's happened in this thread up to now, even I have to laugh at this point.
I'm laughing too. Another billionaire for the cause of freedom and justice.
Welcome Don. Perhaps the only one, but I 've been wrong before and will be again but undaunted Life just keeps rolling along.

That's OK. He brought in Big Ed and Al Sharpton as insurance so he could continue his anti-Democrat ramblings. Unfortunately, those ramblings have become completely off-topic.

Something should probably be done about that...

The major Corporate sponsers are pulling out of their support for the Clippers. Kia and Virgin Airlines being the latest.
I suspect that, regardless of what they can do from a legal viewpoint, the NBA is going to put huge pressure on Stirling to sell the team. Lots of things they can do to make his life miserable.
Ask the Maloofs, ex owners of the Sacramento Kings, about how nasty the NBA can get if they decide you ,as a owner, are doing damage to the NBA.

Really? You think "Wow, that Obama sure doesn't talk like a stereotypical black guy, and hah hah, convenience stores are all run by Indians" is equivalent to "Man, if only the rest of the country had voted for the ardent racist and segregationist who ran for President as the candidate for this political party, like I did, the country wouldn't have had all those problems, ifyaknowwhatImean"?

I don't think there really is any more "free speech" in this age of trial by the court of public opinion.

GOd, another person who fails to understand that Free Speech guaranatees you the right to say what you want but does not guarantee there will not be negative consequences from what you say. You have the absolute constitutional right to go into the office of you boss and call him an S.O.B. but he has the right to fire you to for saying so.

All of a sudenn Don is a good guy in your book if he is a Republican?

And your attempts to show that CLive Bundy's statements were not racists are just pathetic.

Ummm... that was my point. Newsflash: what people say and what people think are two different things. Most wise ones have learned to play the P.C. game.

P.S. You have a lot of catching-up to do in this thread. I think I made that comment 100 posts ago.

We'll see. If so, Sterling will be crying all the way to the bank. Turning his $12.5 million purchase into more than half a billion.

It's my opinion and the idea is to advance the discussion by attacking the post, not the posters.
I don't know that Don is a good or bad guy, but obviously a rich guy.
Clive said Mexicans work hard, pay their taxes and are good people. He noted that people do better working with goals and ambitions.
