Does Anybody Know about Psychic Judith Turner?

... Perhaps we can get James Randi on this lady's case since his expertise as a magician makes him ideally suited to exposing these kinds of psychic fraudsters.

Have you written to James Randi about this?

What is evil about it?

Hans

its about looney tunes, crazies, and monsters who have freewill and excersize it.....ie....hitler....serial killers......etc.

we have freewill too. were just not crazy....sometimes. I think....sort of.

Judith Turner - Maine

First of all, Judy Turner's fees are clearly defined on her website as being:
•1 person - $150.00
•2 persons - $235.00 (family related only)
•3 persons - $300.00 (family related only)

Secondly, I have has sessions with Judy twice, once in 1996 and again in 2009. While there are many that believe or may not believe in psychic communication, I can only speak for myself. My experience with Judy Turner came about because a friend went to see her and raved about how well it went. I made an appointment to see her. I was skeptical, but optimistic that Judy was the "real deal". She said some things about future events that (at the time) I thought were not possibly true, but later turned out to be exactly what happened. I gave her no information about me except my first name, I paid with cash, so she did not even know where I lived at the time. She accurate told me that I would be moving to (an exact location) and I thought, no way, I know where I am going to be moving and it was not that location. As it turned out, I am currently sitting in a home in the exact location she said I would be living and this isn't even in the same state I was living in at the time. She was also very accurate about family members and situations in their lives.

After the information I received in that first visit and after much of it came to pass, I made another appointment for an update in 2009. I just re-listened to the CD from that visit and again, much of what she said in 2009 proved to be accurate. If she is still working, I will most likely make another appointment for an update.

Having personally had psychic communication from deceased individuals myself, I'm pretty aware of how it works. All of us have spirits (souls of deceased relatives) around us, most the time. In my experiences, a person who has psychic capabilities merely picks up information that those spirits want to give to the individual. In a psychic experience I had, a child (who died at the age of 8) wanted to give his mother a message. This spirit gave me the message (perhaps the mother wasn't open to it and I was). As I sat at work, this spirit kept giving me the message and I desperately tried to ignore it. As hard as I was trying to ignore it, the spirit was trying to get me to give the message to his mother. I suddenly felt physically ill (like having way too much caffeine, though I had ingested none). The more I tried to ignore doing what I "knew" the spirit wanted me to do, the sicker and more shaky I became. Finally, not being able to ignore this spirit any longer, I got up, went into his mothers office and SAID the words he gave me. I immediately felt normal again. His mother instantly knew where the message came from (and I felt better because she didn't think I was insane). This was my first experience, though I have left out a lot of detail (for the protection of those involved), I think I shared enough to show you how my experience was.

I had no control over the message, I was mere a vehicle used by the spirit to communicate a message to his mother. There is no doubt in my mind that it was real, I lived it and there is no way that I knew the information he gave her. But she knew immediately where it came from. To say the least, I was a bit freaked out by the whole experience. But, it did prove to me that communication from deceased loved ones to us still in body is not only possible, it does happen.

There are good people and bad people. Just because some bad people pray on innocent people, doesn't make every psychic bad.

Judy Turner in my estimation and experience is a good psychic and I would most definitely use her services again and probably will soon.

I'd like to look at this more closely. Fellow members, maybe we could try to keep it to this one thing for a while so we can engage Suzie and not scare her off.

Suzie, you have a CD of this, right (or do you just have one from the later visit)? Can you tell us exactly what was said (you can certainly disguse the location)? What, precisely, was said by you and the medium during the conversation about the move? Who brought it up? How exact was the location?

Welcome to the JREF Forums, Suzie S.

Your post seems to verify the comment I made last November. Her followers seem to be "true believers" and were generally referred by a friend. (Either that, or some cynic might think that those followers write suspiciously similar reviews.)

I don't know if you've read your way around the forums but if you have or if you would do so, you'll note that we're rather entrenched in "evidence-based" discussion. Thus, anything you relate is hearsay regardless of the fact that you're probably a swell person. We tend to follow the lead established by Mr. Randi when he originally set-up the $10,000 challenge - which has grown into the MDC - Million Dollar Challenge. Show us something that can be proved or disproved.

Fortunately for Judy Turner and You and Us, you have some concrete evidence. You have a CD of the seond session. (You don't mention, but do you have one from the first session?) We'd certainly love to see a transcript. A number of forumites have in-depth experience in dealing with "readers" and might be able to discern a few things with you or for you.

I'm curious about this as well.

Even so, I wonder what the benefit was. How did that psychic help SuzieS?

  • She spent some money on a psychic.
  • That person told her things about her relatives. Presumably she already knew those things, which is how they were determined real. So what's the value?
  • She told her of "future events." Did SuzieS change her life in any way to take advantage of this information?
  • The psychic told her she'd move to a town in another state.* Now she lives there. Did she spend effort finding out about the town to better plan her move? Did this help?

Just trying to figure things out. Unless she gives you tomorrow's lotto numbers, what's the benefit? Like counseling?

Add me to the list of people who would love to see a transcript of the CD. :)

*I don't believe this for a minute. My bet is that she said "the town name had green or a color or a type of tree" in it or something else vague like that, but giving the benefit of the doubt here.

From her response (coincidentally to a post I'd made to another believer) to me in the Welcome Thread, I think SuzieS may be yet another in the long list who've thought this was a psychic-friendly environment. She logged off a little after that. I fear she may not return.

Yes I agree. Her first post in this thread looks like an ad for a psychic. Though she has not spammed the internet with that post.

Hi, everybody! A friend of mine recently told me she went to get a two-hundred-dollar reading from this psychic in Maine named Judith Turner. She claims this woman was able to tell her obscure things like inside jokes between her and dead friends and siblings.

"And you used to joke together didn't you? You had jokes that you would say about other people close to you but they weren't mean, they were spoken with affection rather than malice, yes?"

Perhaps I should say how I came to this forum at all. I was looking up Judith Turner in Maine because I wanted to get her phone number to make another appointment. In my search, I saw the original question being asked about her and her services. I registered here so I could reply, as I have first hand knowledge of her services. I had no idea that the main goal of this forum is to debunk psychic abilities. I realized that after reading the "welcome newcomers" thread. So, this whole forum is most likely not a place for me, given the fact that I not only believe in psychic communication, but have personally experienced it. I have no interest in convincing anyone of anything, one way or the other. My only interest was in giving a truthful assessment of Judith Turner and my experience.

Now for your question, at my first session she used a cassette tape to record the session, unfortunately, the tape was accidently destroyed and I'm not able to get any information off that tape. My information I gave previously, came from my own recollection of the session and what was said. The information given in that first session, impressed me enough to remember it.

I believe it, because I experienced it. I'm not looking to disect it, I take it at face value. I use the information to help my children.

I explained above how I came about this forum. I did not think that the forum was psychic friendly or foe.

I saw a question asked about a Psychic that I had session with and thought I would give my honest viewpoint.

As I said, I am not interested in convincing anyone of anything. I do appreciate everyone's understanding. Since this is a forum to debunk psychic communication, there really is no reason for me to stay. It was an honest mistake and I thought the person asking about Judith Turner wanted viewpoints from someone who had actually had sessions with her.

Thank you!

You don't have to believe it. She named the exact town and state.
