Destroyed Atlantis = Menorah

AND the Younger Dryas was a recent discovery...so named.

Plato would not have referred to it as such.

Ummm... No.

We knew about Plato many many many years ago. As you can see in this thread, many believe the tale to be myth. Because no such sinking occurred, globally or locally.

I've posted photographs of sunken ruins, and the recent discovery of this Younger Dryas period coincides with Plato's date.

How many more facts must be verified before Plato escapes your mythical massaging?

What is your argument exactly? That Plato didn't properly predict the name the discovery was to be called?

I don't understand what it is you are arguing...

Well of COURSE he was not going to refer to the time period by "Younger Dryas". But your argument is that he had the right "date" for it. I'm asking you to connect the date of Atlantis to the Younger Drayas in Plato's writing. The Younger Dryas was characterized by cooling see level changes over centuries. The fall of Atlantis in the story was characterized by volcanoes and rapid flooding.

I've no idea where you got the idea that anyone doubts Plato was a real person.

Yes, I've seen you claim that relatively recent ruins in the Mediterranean are proof a continent sunk in the Atlantic 9000 years before Plato. I've seen you claiming that Jews worship menorahs but don't know how many arms they have. I've read the whole thread. I've seen how you refuse to answer questions. How you constantly contradict yourself. I've seen how you put people on ignore for making you feel insecure with their greater knowledge. I love the thread. It is very entertaining.

Feel free to re-ask any questions you'd like. Any oversight was unintentional.

Contradict myself? Please be more specific.

People are added to my ignore list ONLY in extreme situations, and there IS an appeal process.

I'm glad you are enjoying yourself. Do you think Plato has zero historical value, still?

The end of this period is marked by floods...

The flooding took 24 hours.

The date Plato used is accurate given our dating abilities.

The sea level rise of the Younger Dryas took place over centuries, not 24 hours. Nothing about Plato's account matches up with what we know of the climate of the period. All you are doing is taking Plato's date and checking what we call that climatological period. You can name any date and look up what the period was called. This is not "getting the date right". It is just a good example of your confused thinking.

Have you seen the Scab Lands?

There was a MASSIVE flood that was a result of glacial lakes floating and breaking their dams.

A sea side city being consumed by an overnight rising ocean that happened at the end of a period of known global flooding...

This 'date' is only part of the evidence provided about Plato's flood.

We have sunken ruins, (if they are red, black, and white, as the surrounding quarries, indicate) from the right location.

Eventually the dots make a picture...

Once upon a time, a glacial dam broke in the Pacific Northwest of North America, now known as the Scablands. "Oh no!" cried the Jews. The volcanoes are making our Atlantic continent sink! So they broke their Atlantis map sticks in half and used them to turn that Atlantic continent into a few buildings on the cost of Spain, flinging them thousands of years into the future. And that's why Jews worship lamps.*

* this is not my account. It is what James Cameron and National Geographic believe. All proof is on the internet if you would just bother to read it.

Did I get it right?

The flood was global...it caused other earthquakes.

Cover an active volcano with water and watch the geological results...

Do you mean the Scablands near the Pacific coast of North America?

I thought Atlantis was in the Atlantic, now it is in the Pacific?

Oh. Now we are back to Spain again (with zero evidence that the sunken spanish ruins are from 11,000 years ago)

Wow. Atlantis sure moved around a lot. Missed that part in Plato's story.

Make up your mind!

Eventually the dots make a picture...

Right. A flood in the the Pacific of North America equals Atlantis because......reasons.

And volcanos are caused by floods. Or earthquakes. Or something.

Got it.

Oh dear...

One, when glacial lakes are released, the water ends up in the ocean...Cairo was cover by 120 ft of water...it was bad.

Two, ruins underwater off the Spanish coast only prove there was once civilization above sea level there...something sank.

Three, flooding a volcano causes geological instability.

Cairo sunk as well?

Sank? When did the Spanish ruins sink? Citation please.

Three, flooding a volcano causes geological instability.

Like sinking a very large mythical island in the Atlantic ocean, or on dry land near the Pacific ocean? Or Spain?

The information you are giving is a bit fuzzy.

Do try to keep up: Apparently Plato said a lake drained in North America, which caused the level of the Mediterranean Sea to rise by 120 feet and drown Cairo. This then caused underwater ruins near Spain something something something ATLANTIS!

Ah!

Well, when you put it that way, it all makes perfect sense now.....and connecting the dots, something something something MENORAH!

Something something menorah Atlantis. Puhlease!

And I think he meant "what was to become Cairo" since, of course, Cairo didn't exist, nor did Egypt at that time. Thus questioning just who and how old those Egyptians were from the Plato fictional character's story.

But, look.... we haven't gotten to "Because aliens" yet, so maybe that's some form of progress.

"So, what's your evidence that the Jews adopted the menorah from the descendants of Atlantis, who used a similar symbol to represent their city snapped in half like a pringle?"

"Wow, look at Plato, roughly dating Atlantis to a period of climate change!"

"No evidence then?"

"We have provided Our evidence! Thou hast fallen out of favour! Be ye ignored, vile creature. Tou mayst apply to mine mercy by sending me a message most private."

You're being far too literal. Cairo existed as a future idea at that time: urban planning was much more advanced in those days. It was where Plato manufactured menorahs in memory of lakes gone by.

The mystical Atlantean metal orichalcum is obviously an anagram of 'Cairo hlcum', which ties Atlantis to the Jews because they built the pyramids as slaves, before they decided to worship random lamps.

Yes, global floods are global.

Like 9000 BC, the Plato quote is only one page away.

Plato described Atlantis sinking in the time a day and a night. We have not seen it above the water since. The flood waters that covered Cairo and the Scablands have long since receded.

You are asking poorly formed questions.
