Destroyed Atlantis = Menorah

^Has not read my post, replied to any of it, or provided any evidence^

I watched as much of the video as is available for free.

...

Is it because the evidence doesn't exist?

...

Did NOT watch the video, then claimed the evidence in it doesn't exist...

What kind of fallacy is that?

--

Simple ignorance, perhaps?

This is your version of the Canadian Girlfriend. "Oh, the evidence exists! I swear! It's in a video you don't have access to, and I am for some reason unable to mention the evidence here!"

Is there some sort of Gypsy curse that makes you unable to type the evidence into the forum?

And what about Porpoise of Life, who has seen the video and says the evidence you're promising doesn't exist? You could easily prove him wrong by just explaining it right here. Go on!

I've provided plenty of links to evidence... I guess, you'll just have to pony-up the cash.

Didn't someone post a screenshot of the upside-down menorah?

Seriously, stop.

You can disagree with the conclusions drawn by Cameron and National Geographic, but it is the Everest of Ignorance to say "no evidence" has been provided.

Even if this is THE weakest argument ever postulated with the weakest evidence ever collected, it would be better than than the "it's just a lamp" explanation offered.

Again, this is the best possible explanation for where the pattern of the menorah came from.

If you have a better explanation with more evidence, please do present it here, now.
Point me to where, in the video anyone actually ties the menorah to your Atlantis? Do you have an Atlantian coin with a menorah on it? Pottery with Atlantis and a Menorah? Perhaps an excavated mosaic floor? Anything? You've got "Plato says this and a Menorah looks like this". You can't even establish that Plato didn't make up Atlantis like he'd did The Cave.

Great idea! Since the Gypsy curse prevents him from typing the evidence in here, maybe he can provide a specific timestamp so someone with access to the full video can check that specific part!

That was me, and the carving clearly wasn't a menorah. It was weathered badly, and what was left of it looked like five arches with a straight line from the center to the edge of the outer arch. A bit like a crossed out rainbow. Sure, the documentary's graphics department drew a menorah on it, ignoring two of the five arches, and extending the vertical line beyond what was visible on the rock and inventing a squiggly line that wasn't there in the carving to form the stand. Then they quickly cut to 1st century Jewish graves with actual menorah carvings and pretended there was a link between the two sites.
They were deliberately misleading the viewer.

A crossed out rainbow?

That's a new symbol interpretation... kind of a- "screw you God I know another flood is coming"- kind of thing??

I have no idea why you posted those links...

I'm showing you that your trick of pretending you have evidence that doesn't really exist is an old and tired trope. If it exists, post it here. You can do it, just use your keyboard and type it into the text box.

Actual evidence- like google earth images of sunken ruins off the Spanish coast,

1. You've talked about Plato, and some ruins off the coast of Spain. This part of the conversation is relevant to whether or not Atlantis exists at all, but it is not evidence that links Atlantis to the Jewish people.

Oh look! I already addressed this tactic. It's not evidence of a link between Atlantis and the menorah.

pictures upon pictures of early menorahs,

2. You've talked about how symbols in general and the menorah in specific may have changed over time. This part of the conversation is relevant to establishing that it is possible the menorah could have been based on some other symbol, but it is not evidence that links Atlantis to the Jewish people.

Oh look! I already addressed this tactic. It's not evidence of a link between Atlantis and the menorah.

a video produce by James Cameron and National Geographic...

The fact that a video exists isn't proof of a link between Atlantis and the menorah. If that video CONTAINS evidence that links Atlantis and the menorah, why haven't you mentioned the specific evidence here on the forums? Is the Gypsy curse stopping you? Did you leave your copy of the video with your Canadian girlfriend?

What was it you were looking for again?

Evidence that links Atlantis with the menorah.

See, you refuse to post evidence yourself, you refuse to address what other people post. You prefer to latch onto a bit of figurative language, pretend it's literal, and then invent some weird segue to distract us.
You're not fooling anyone though.

Any menorahs in the sunken ruins?

Any menorahs in the sunken ruins?

Who needs that when we have such amazing evidence as this super obvious memorial to Atlantis, complete with concentric circles that couldn't possibly refer to anything but the shape of the island (that wasn't an island, and wasn't shaped like that since it was on the coast of Spain, and...):

https://goo.gl/photos/As7Bi8dzvZACrkmW8

With such clear evidence as this, how can we possibly question it? Oh, also! There was a scribble of a unicorn on one of the rocks, so we clearly know that there were unicorns on Atlantis. So that's cool.

Check Exodus...I've been quoting God's direction to make it after a "pattern" in or on some mount for about 14 pages...

Apparently you have not read Exodus, just like you have not read Plato. Plato is the source for Atlantis. Exodus is the source for the menorah.

You keep saying, "in or on some mount". It is almost like you never read the source. Surprise!

In Exodus, "some mount" is clearly stated as Mt. Sinai. God gave the detailed instructions to Moses ON Mt. Sinai (not IN). It is almost like you have not read the source. Surprise!

The description in Exodus shows no indication the design was "adopted". There is also no historical or archaeological evidence the design was "adopted".

Oh. So nothing about copying a symbol already used by some other culture.

^ Exactly ^.

But he keeps ignoring when this is pointed out to him.

Again, the Jewish people 'adopted' the symbol.

You have zero evidence for your statement.

The biblical evidence said it was adopted. The treatments that have been applied indicate it's meaningless.

No. There is NO "biblical" evidence it was adopted. NONE.

No historical or archaeological evidence either. NONE.

What are "treatments" that have been "applied" that "indicate it's meaningless"? That makes no sense. NONE.

WAS mystical...? But Jewish people don't KNOW why or how for certain...? "Let's worship a lamp candle holder with 7 flames, just because...!"

Did you READ what I wrote? I was speaking of the use of the number 7 in the ancient world, not to jews specifically.

In judaism the number 7 is considered the most sacred number. The use of it is repeated so often in tanakh that the list would be too long to list here, and it is irrelevant to the topic.

And, once again, the menorah was NOT worshipped.

That factoid came from one of the rabbis I listened to on the topic, not my postulation.

Right. The "rabbis" you mentioned before that you watched on some random youtube video. (That post from you made no sense as well).

Either you have misunderstood/mis-represented what they said, or they are complete idiots.

Why do you watch videos or documentaries WITHOUT researching the topics for yourself???

Right. I am saying the menorah has 7 flames because that lamp burned that long. Or was it 8?

Again, you are confusing the menorah with the hanukiah (and the story of hanukkah).

That has NOTHING to do with the design description of the 7-branch menorah, that you bizarrely think was adopted from a mythical island that never existed.

Your evidence, you don't seem to have it, perhaps Cameron will make a documentary "In search of King of Americas' lost evidence, fact or fiction?"

...

No. There is NO "biblical" evidence it was adopted. NONE.

...

Are you serious?

I both read and quoted Exodus, wherein god or the biblical authority describes an object to be made of one piece of gold after a pattern on the mount. The speaker does NOT say where it is from, what it means, or why "7" is important.

*Sorry, but I will no longer be responding to you within this thread.*
