Destroyed Atlantis = Menorah

Unwelcome perhaps, but accurately describing the story story arc of the posts in this thread. It's a bit hard to argue with that evidence...

So you have nothing to say, no alternative theory to present, and you are just here to launch personal attacks?

I would recommend a different approach...

Oops, another post that starts with "So..."

What are these personal attacks of which you speak? The thread is a historical record of claims made.

Your recommendation is flawed, not to mention ironic...

Yeah, I can imagine it would be convenient to be around 650 ft above sea level, when level began rising, consuming sea side cities...

No.

What part of The-City-Of-Athens-Did-Not-Exist-In-9000-BCE is unclear to you?

What evidence is there that the sunken ruins are from 9000bce?
The Younger Dryas carbon dating...I suppose.

Well you "suppose" wrong.

Younger Dryas has NOTHING to do with the DATING of the RUINS themselves.

What evidence do you have for the date of the RUINS?

And no, google imagining is not a dating technique.

Blindly? Without doing my own research? MY google earth images are evidence to the contrary.

As you have been told, many times, by several posters on this thread, there are many sunken ruins around Europe and the Med. Your google images are meaningless as "evidence" of Atlantis.

And the reason NO ONE in this thread agrees with your "theory" is because they HAVE researched, looked at your "evidence", used their intelligence and logic, and can conclude, again using their intelligence, logic, and knowledge, that you have no evidence to support your claims.

I'd say calling someone's arguments "more crazy" is an ad hominem attack, not an argument, or an alternative theory.

Make an argument, present an alternative theory, STOP with the insults.

How about you say why your ruins on the Spanish coast are your Atlantis, as opposed to all the other ruins out there off all the other coasts?

"Even old New York, was once New Amsterdam."

The ruins are 'at least' that old, maybe older.

Yet-to-be-investigated ruins are not meaningless.

NO ONE...? So you are the spokesperson for everyone who uses the International Skeptics Forum...?

I had no idea whom I was speaking to...!

Personally, I find such claims as yours to be utterly meaningless. Do, please, speak only for yourself.

Lastly, this is not my theory. I have not been to Europe, the Atlantic, or Spain. My investigations employed google earth, wherein my results have been posted.

I do not know this theory to be true, but I do believe it is the best possible explanation, given all the data we now have, for the origins of the "pattern" now used as a candlestick holder.

Lol. Show me on the thread where my "insult" touched you....

i think we have quite enough alternatives for one thread. Far be it for me to further cloud the issue by introducing yet more random assertions! Oh wait, that's the purpose of the thread...

I'll be back.

Oh, and look up "ad hom". I do believe you're taking self-serving liberties with the definition.

I never made any such claim, that the underwater ruins I found using google earth are THE Atlantis. I said given they are sunken ruins at the bottom of the Atlantic, they are by definition "Atlantean"...

To determine if they are indeed Atlantis, we'd need to see if they are red, black, and black stones, maybe do some carbon dating, if possible.

If there are indeed a lot of sunken sites off ALL coasts, then I'd say this is evidence of a global flood, that destroyed and consumed cities...

It is quite astounding to me that you are using evidence of sunken ruins to claim there couldn't be an Atlantis...???

How does your brain produce that computation?

By definition, calling someone's argument crazy cannot be ad hominem.

At least two have been presented. And those have been better supported than yours.

In any event, it is not up to us to come up with alternatives. It is up to you to support your argument.

You have so far failed to do so.

If you have an argument, present it.

If the "more crazy" comment was yours, then you should re-think your tactics.

We...? Do you have a mouse in your pocket? YOU have presented nothing.

What method did you use to date the ruins? You can provide a terminus post quem or terminus anti quem? Do you have pictures or sketches of the stratigraphy to show the context in which the dated artifacts were found?

Yes, I know.

What method would one use to determine when the ocean level rose, if not the Younger Dryas dating data?
