So what. If they simply have a skeptic on who keeps on saying that they're not going to find anything, most of the audience will just dismiss the skeptic.

That way, they can have some scientific reailsm AND the audience will continue to watch whilst ridiculing the skeptic.

My take on the show is it's 70% and 30% monster hunt, much of the story seems to cover the "getting there". Josh comes off more like a Travel Channel personality than a monster hunter.

"Destination Truth" is beyond bad. I watched one episode and could barely get through it. They were in Vietnam and the "jungle" they were in looked like a landscaped park next to their hotel.

A pretty good show that I think they are mimicking is "Digging for the Truth" with Josh Bernstein on the History Channel.

He doesn't keep a straight face though! You can clearly see him looking down several times and covering his mouth to hide his laughter. This is my all time favorite Destination Truth episode, and it's what got me hooked on the show in the first place. That "wink-wink we know this is all bull" attitude of Gates and Co.
