Merged Desiree Jennings, Dystonia and the Flu Shot

Orac has another post on this. http://scienceblogs.com/insolence/2009/11/desiree_jennings_worst_reporting_ever.php At the end of the video, the announcer notes that Buttar is due to defend his practice before the medical board in the near future. I don't recall if they note that he has been there several times before. That illustrates how difficult it is to get medical licenses revoked for quacks http://www.sciencebasedmedicine.org/?p=211

I couldn't even finish watching that, it was so incredibly stupid.

However, because the false nature of her claims (and as a result the claims of that quack as to her condition) are so well documented, I will be able to make use of it as a reference if I have trouble convincing someone that what the patient claims the doctors said can have nothing at all to do with what the doctors actually said.

<snip>

Stupid yeah, but it was also funny hearing her voice go strange only when she was talking about the time period when she was "ill".

Oh, and being able to run a marathon while claiming not to be able to walk forward also brought a smile to my face.

You crazy Americans!
