It may currently be untrue, but if the current trend continues it won't matter if Macedonia, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, and Albania double the amount of troops they have in Iraq, the U.S. will still be alone.

As a side-note to this sudden bashing of Denmark after we've stuck with this unpopular war for 4 years, is that Danish TV interviewed Danish soldiers, both in Iraq and some who just returned home, and apparently the prevailing view was that they felt it was still a bit too early to withdraw. I found that quite interesting. They thought a year or two more was needed to ensure the Iraqui security forces were fully ready to take over.

I think that James Randi should explore new territory. His dealings with Sylvia Brown, Uri Geller, et al. is getting old and tiresome. He should take up a new enterprise such as exposing illogical Bush bashers for their utter lack of critical thinking. If the ACLU can come to the aid of Rush Limbaugh and his trouble with medical records, the James Randi could do the same with Bush. With the Bush bashers you are talking about a target-rich environment. Randi could get paid quite well with appearances on places such as Fox News.

Nah, Randi's talents would be wasted on Bush Bashers. Illogical Bush supporters suffer a more serious and debilitating cranial malady (as evidenced by the above). Speaking of Afghanistan - the Taliban and their alliance with Al Qaeda has been in the news recently. I'm sure that Danish soldiers as well as British and American soldiers are going to see a costly resurrgence in violence there.

Too bad we (the U.S.) wasn't smart enough to finish the original job before jumping haphazardly into Iraq - it's obvious that our President bit off more than we can chew.

What qualifies as finishing the job? Standing up the Afghan government and security forces? Maybe we could have done that faster had we not gone into Iraq, the lack of specific criticism regarding what we failed to do to stand them up faster makes me wonder how much this is just opportunistic sniping.

If by "finish the job" you mean defeat the Taliban and Al Qaeda completely, I'd ask whether you wanted to invade Pakistan from the north or the south.

I think it is reasonable to see this as Bush's war or Bushco's war. Did Bushco fill in the members of the coalition about the intelligence they were manipulating to get this war started? Did Bushco fill the coalition partners in on how they planned to use the war as a vehicle to enrich their crony corporate buddies or to provide jobs for their crony partisans?

Were any of the coalition partners brought in on the decision to allow the near torture of Iraqi citizens and the decision to look for scapegoats to punish when the facts became known?

Was Bushco feeding the coalition partners the same crapola that they have been feeding the American people for the last four years about how well stuff is going in Iraq?

Are the coalition "partners" being consulted about the Bushco strategy to blame Iran for the violence in Iraq when the overwhelming majority of the coalition deaths are being caused by Sunni Insurgents?

In the area they were responsible for....probably, but hard to say. The troops, when questioned by Danish TV, say they feel another year or two is necessary to get Iraqui security forces completely up to speed. However, Rice, the Iraqi Foreign Minister and the Danish Prime Minister disagree.

He's certainly not in Afghanistan now, is he? Our borrowing from Peter to pay Paul has resulted in him slipping through our fingers, and now we find ourselves in the uncomfortable position of maintaining a semblance of diplomacy with a country that could potentially turn hostile (and they actually have WMD) toward us while having to accept their insistence that they are indeed searching for Bin Laden.

Why is invasion always the first choice? Even if we did invade Afghanistan what makes you think Bin Laden wouldn't simply go somewhere else much like he did when we wasted time and resources earmarked for Afghanistan on Iraq?

I, however, am quite justified in saying that Bush bashers suffer from BDS- Bush derangement syndrome. The definition for deranged is..."To upset the normal condition or functioning of". Clearly, I have proven time and again on this forum that their logical thinking skills have been "upset".

I have to seriously wonder if the chronic Bush bashers on this critical thinking forum are actually Sylvia Browne or Uri Geller plants, placed here to embarrass James Randi and dilute his effectiveness in exposing charlatans and frauds. The illogical Bush bashing is that melodramatic.
