demonic possession

I think some people may think my house is haunted. Could I get more money than the county has praised it? I won't tell them the ghosts are moving with me of course.

Just as a side note...

Last night I watched a QI from 3 or 4 years ago where Steven Fry informed that a "haunting" reduced a US house value by ~30%.

I suppose it's possible that more "ghost hunters" shows means more interested buyers but barring one of those folk, a seller is gonna lose big if a story gets 'round that the property has a ghost.

We're so stupid over here sometimes. :D

So, this man is some politician (I think...) with a demon haunted house, and a book to sell. The news clip features a photograph - 'cause that can't be fake! And broken and bent crucifixes.
I'm convinced.

Good find, although "demonic infestation & oppression" are probably a more accurate terms to describe what Bob Cranmer claims to have taken place within his home.

Home owner: Robert Wesley "Bob" Cranmer

News report by KDKA-TV Pittsburgh

His book is titled "The Demon of Brownsville Road: A Pittsburgh Family’s Battle with Evil in Their Home"

No, ******** is a more accurate term.

Cranmer and his son (supposedly) visited Doubtful News after I posted on this story back in February. He's a total ass. See comments. Also, this place was investigated by Ryan Buell and he may be capitalizing on that as well. The story reeks of a Hollywood production and attention grabbing.

But, Sharon, you're a pretty young whippersnapper and probably all full of lady-emotions. How can we take your girlish demands for evidence seriously?

I could see why supernatural phenomena could impact a house's value. No one wants a drafty house, one falling apart, leaks.....

From your site:
[Buell recalls] “I saw a metal crucifix bend right in front of us, and there was a blood-like substance that materialized on the walls,” he says. (A forensics team confirmed that it was blood and “flesh-like material.”)

"Flesh-like material" seems like an odd finding for a "forensics team"- it's either flesh or it's not, and surely an actual forensics finding could (and would) say which.

Just read some of the comments; the "purty lady" post by Mr Cranmer was kind of a hoot. And someone asked him what I thought was a perfectly reasonable question (one that occurred to me)- if this sort of "materializing of flesh and blood on the walls" has been going on for years, why no videos? As expected, Mr Cranmer dodged it with a "read my book" sales pitch.

Good job and good site- added to my favorites.

Not to derail, but whatever happened to that possessed boy who "walked backwards up a wall" in an Indiana hospital, in front of witnesses? Is there a thread on this? Fox News (ugh) was selling this one hard for a while, based on basically no evidence, but then the story disappeared. I never saw any follow-up (or apology). Do we have a thread for that one?
