Democrats = Antifa = BS

So I have a question. If the Republicans are murdering Nazi scum would Antifa being the guerrilla arm of Democratic Party be a bad thing? Wouldn't they deserve it?

Look you can't call the holocaust murder. Murder is the extralegal killing of people and the holocaust was done with in the legal framework of the country. Calling it murder would be as factually incorrect as calling voting to take away thousands of peoples life sustaining health care murder.

If we are going to be pedantic about what murder is we need to be properly pedantic about it in all cases.

Yep, there really is no difference from safety laws and genocide. All laws are morally neutral.

Why do you repeat the same lie after it's been called out? Or do you really believe the above?

It isn't a strawman it is just taking the continuum fallacy being presented to its logical conclusion.

You're the only one here who sees it as a logical conclusion. I submit that your ability to draw conclusions from premises is broken somehow.

Nothing in your conclusion follows from what anyone here has said, AS USUAL.

How are you going to get anarchists to join the Democratic Party? There's all this paperwork to fill out...

A-ha! Found it!

And now I can barely remember what this was about.

By the way, sorry about the joke earlier. I considered that it might be a joke but decided against that interpretation.

It's fine - it's not the first time someone didn't catch a joke I made, and my view is just to try to make better jokes. Or at least, add a damn smiley.:D

Yeah but those quotes are not even paraphrases; they're made up. I'm pretty sure this isn't how they see the work that they do. There's surely a bunch of rationalisation there, but in the end I think that they believe they're doing the right thing.

I mean the quotes less to be what they're saying, and more what the logical thing to say would be to get to where they are. Their actual position as is, is not rational at all. And that can be seen in their campaigns - "I support protections for pre-existing conditions, even though I voted to get rid of those exact protections over five dozen times." This is not support, and I cannot be concerned about what's in their hearts, or how they rationalize it to themselves.

If I think that "taking away healthcare from people who need healthcare" is murder from an ethical view, then they are trying to murder people, regardless of how they rationalize it to themselves.

Mob chants outside Fox's Tucker Carlson's home, breaks door

An Antifa angry mob gathered outside of Fox New's anchor Tucker Carlson's home on Wednesday evening.

The anti-fascists group, possibly associated with Smash Racism, D.C., chanted "Tucker Carlson, we will fight. We know where you sleep at night" outside of Carlson's D.C. home, according to Fox News. In a video posted online, the group can also be heard saying "racist scumbag, leave town!"

Carlson's wife, Susie, was home alone at the time. He told Fox she locked herself into a pantry and called police.

"No borders! No walls! No USA at all!”

-- Antifa group Smash Racism DC (Nov 7, 2018)

I forgot that open borders was a central plank in the DNC platform. Pack it in boys, this thread is over.

"It wasn't a protest. It was a threat. They weren't protesting anything specific that I had said. They weren't asking me to change anything. They weren't protesting a policy or advocating for legislation. They were threatening me and my family and telling me to leave my own neighborhood in the city that I grew up in."

-- Tucker Carlson (Nov 8, 2018)

Only the genius of Antifa could make Carlson seem sympathetic.

"If you see anybody from that cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd, and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.”

-- Maxine Waters (June 23, 2018)

I love how people like you think that everybody also idolises people on their "side", so that your quotes here are somehow significant.

They're not.

“I send pipe bombs to people Trump tells me to hate.”

- -Trump supporter and right wing terrorist.

If we needed any more evidence of antifa as being an opportunity for children to play dress-up, doing the 'ol doorbell ditch prank (ring doorbell, run away) at Carlson's house is it.

When we have Trump himself on record many times explicitly threatening lawful citizens with violence, I can't even wrap my mind around the lack of self-awareness that's necessary in order to flog Waters and other such examples that pale in comparison to Trump's specific, repeated threats.

“This has to stop. Who are we? What are we becoming? Tucker Carlson is tough & can handle a lot, but he does not deserve this. His family does not deserve this. It’s stomach-turning.”

-- Megyn Kelly (Nov 8, 2018)
