The recently convicted D.C. Madam has been found dead, hanging in a shed on her mother's property in Florida. Is this story not a draw for CT's to speculate upon? Already I have read one story that she was found "inside her mother's home" and the one below which says she was in a shed "near her mother's home". How can they get facts so distorted so quickly?

That other woman implicated, the professor, committed suicide in January prior to her trial. Hmmmm....

from the article said:
Palfrey faced a maximum of 55 years in prison and was free pending her sentencing July 24.

"I am sure as heck am not going to be going to federal prison for one day, let alone, you know, four to eight years here, because I'm shy about bringing in the deputy secretary of whatever," Palfrey told ABC last year when she released phone records that revealed some of her clients. "Not for a second. I'll bring every last one of them in if necessary."

She also told a friend; "If I am found dead, it will not be suicide." That friend was just on The Randi Rhodes Show with a brief call about it. (Randi cut her off because she was filibustering onto other things at the end...)

Sex,Politics...wow,this story has everything.
Although my first guess is if it was murder some "Business Associates" of the Madam were concerned about what she might spill in return for a plea bargain.

I forgot to check PrisonPlanet until just now.

excerpt said:
DC Madam Deborah Jeane Palfrey predicted she would be "suicided" on several occasions both recently and as far back as 17 years ago - comments that now appear ominous in light of the announcement that the former head of a Washington escort service allegedly killed herself today.

Ah, PP - those guys are on the ball. 'Nuff said.

Sorry, but the NWO is a little smarter than that. She'd have had a massive stroke or a heart attack.

Predicting you'll die by suicide repeatedly and doing it right when your life is most screwed is pure drama from someone who apparently craved it enough to become a madam.

Athough, certainly she'd been warning it was going to happen... and you have to take it seriously considering it was coming from somebody completely above reproach.

Seriously, making a murder look like suicide is not nearly as easy in real life as it is in TV and the Movies.

Speaking of Conspriacy theorists and Matters Possibly Sexual:

Hollywood actor Charlie Sheen has been accused of regularly using a high-profile escort service. The Two And A Half Men star reportedly answered a newspaper advertisement for Nici's Girls which charges customers $25,000 per night - and placed an order for four escorts. The 42-year-old - who was accused by ex-wife Denise Richards of having an unhealthy love for prostitutes and Internet porn - reportedly paid agency owner Nici $20,000 for their services. Nici made the revelations to Rolling Stone magazine journalist Vanessa Grigoriadis. The reporter tells New York Post's PageSix.com, "When Nici dropped four girls off at his penthouse, she found the actor in silk pajamas with 'C. MaSheen' embroidered over the pocket. Sheen gave her a $20,000 check for the girls, and she picked them up several hours later." Despite entering court-ordered rehab for substance abuse, Nici "continued to book girls for him, furtively sending them to a doctor's office in Los Angeles owned by a friend of Sheen's. The orderlies at the rehab centre would let him out for his frequent medical appointments." Nici told Grigoriadis she continued to send girls for Sheen at a hotel in Santa Monica, California until last year. Sheen became engaged to fiancee Brooke Mueller in July. In response to the allegations, Sheen's publicist Stan Rosenfield tells PageSix.som, "This is an old, old, old story. But, if you're looking for a really good story, I heard that Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe are getting a divorce."

At $25,000 a shot, why do I think something other then just being a dinner companion is involved with this "Escort Service".
Wow, that is wonderful upstanding Citizen that has become the celeb spokesperson for the Twoofer movement.

I don't subscribe to conspiracy theories, NWO, alien lizards or any of the rest of it but is it possible someone amongst her rich and powerful clients might have paid for her to be "retired".

It doesn't take a belief in conspiracy nonsense to consider that she might have met foul play. There is no grand global scheme just an embarrassed politician or businessman that doesn't the public/wife to know he played away from home.

That is not to say it wasn't suicide of course but murder is not exactly unknown in these circles.

I have two questions:

1.) What if she did out half of Washington?

She might still have ended up in prison for a few years, but then what? She would have blackened her own name as the biggest backstabber since Benedict Arnold. No-one among her former friends would have been willing to lift a finger to help her once she got out. She never would have rode the gravy-train ever again. She would have been consigned to spending her remaining years in ignominy and relative poverty.

2.) What if she didn't have as much dirt on the power elite as she claims she did?

What if the world of Washington DC. is far more mundane than this? What if guys like Larry Craig and Eliot Spitzer represent as tiny a minority among the nations highest officials as they do among the rest of us? Then she wouldn't have had those cards to play, wouldn't she? She would have made her threat in the hopes that someone out there who does have something to hide would be spooked into thinking she has dirt on him and come rushing to protect her. But once her bluff was called, it was over.

In either of these scenarios, put a fork in her, she was done. Suicide doesn't seem all that unlikely if one looks at the situation objectively.

Being a skeptic does not mean not being suspicious of suspicious circumstances.

Oh yeah it's possible. But unless you believe in the whole MASSIVE conspiracy where all the evidence would be covered up, it would have required a very well-executed plan... especially with a high-profile person who'd said she might be killed and it would be made to look like a suicide. You know, because detectives will be pretty likely to search very closely for anything suspicious.

Also, while we don't know if they were typewritten or e-mailed or anything they're saying she left two different suicide notes. All things as a given, I'm far more likely to lean towards a notorious celebrity who exploited women for years looking at spending the rest of her life in a women's prison taking the easy way out. That's not to say I rule out the possibility of foul play, only that when you look at the whole picture there's not enough to flip the paranoid conspiracy switch just yet.

And of course, it shows the nature of some of these CTers who couldn't possibly have any information at all yet immediately assuming it had to be murder... because why would anyone kill themselves over something so trivial as a 55 year prison sentence?

Last night in the supermarket checkout line, I caught a look-see at the cover of the latest National Enquirer. Oh ... my .. God. It all makes sense now. It said that Michelle Obama caught Barack in an affair with someone in Washington -- didn't say who. Maybe not everyone was written in the little black book. And now this today. It's a big coverup of an affair that could sink Obama's presidential bid. This is Vince Foster all over again!! :jaw-dropp [/sarcasm]

I'd say the average sexworker who can pull in several thousand for an overnight isn't feeling terribly exploited, Drudgewire.

Her workers made more than several high profile porn actresses I know can get when they do similar side work.

I am not totally ruling out foul play, it's just that making murder look like suicide is not nearly as easy as it once was with the rise of modern CSI techniques.
And I still think that if it was foul play I would say that some of her "business Partners" who were afraid she was going to turn State's Evidence against them is more likely then a "Client".

And some are dead of AIDS, and it's not as though she was Sydney Biddle Barrows where she basically started at the top. Deborah worked her way through the ranks. She was a pro first, and most certainly learned at least a few things from her pimp to get where she was.

And I'm not judging her and couldn't give two poops about rich girls being exploited. Boo hoo for them. But it's not my opinion that matters. That's how the general population of where she was going was going to see her. How many women lifers in there have so much pent-up rage for pimps the chance to take it out on anything resembling one would be the greatest thrill of the rest of her lifetimes?

I don't know much about this woman and it may be that she killed herself but why need it be a massive conspiracy?

Some of her associates may be criminals, drug dealers etc. 99% of her clients may be as surprised at her death as her family. It need have taken only one to decide she should swim with the fishes = or in this case hang.

Criminals and drug dealers execute you. It's kind of their thing.
