Yes! When will America finally produce its Amazon, its Google? When will America finally produce its Cisco, its SPAWAR? When will America produce its Netflix? When will America produce its own Information wonders, and share them with the world? When, oh, when, will America *ever* enter the Information Age?!

And yet when it comes to communicate simple information between state you have 150 incompatible system for 3 government/state departments.

It seems that the Czechs have decided to go a different route to the rest of the EU when it comes to the response to terrorist attacks:

Firearms controls in the Czech Republic have long been more lax than elsewhere in the EU. They've also have a barely-worth-trying standard for deactivation, hence being the source of some weapons used in the Paris terrorist attacks. Not exactly a model example to the rest of Europe.

I strongly disagree that gun control in Czech Republic is 'lax' .. there is quite complex regulation, with exams and registration, with decades of good experience. Gun crime is practically non existent.
'Gun control' in some other countries is simply 'gun ban' .. I wouldn't call that 'control'.

You go to to war with the army you have, not the army you wish to have or plan to have at a later date.

If the army you have buys you the time you need to build the army you need, it's useful enough.
