Curse you socialised healthcare!

Are you kidding? I hear that you don't sell beer in anything bigger than about 2/3 of a pint. It's called a clipper or a catamaran or a schooner or something.....

You heard wrong. For example we do not sell liquids by the pint. We use the metric system for all sales.

Um, okay, then, something about 330-350ml then. Are you claiming, on the other hand, that you do still normally sell beer in pint/half litre measures? Because you didn't when I was there.....

I'm talking about pubs. Hell, you can buy mini barrels in supermarkets but no-one mentioned 5 litres.....

Yes but if first prize in a raffle is 500ml of Fosters*, second prize could be 5-litres

*I am aware that some Australian "beer" is probably OK, and I don't really care if they export rubbish as long as I don't drink it...

The GMC was told of another incident in August 2006, when Dr Al Hourani had consulted a colleague and was advised to inject a patient with 10 milligrams (mg) of midazolam, a powerful sedative drug.

He then gave the patient 8mg and injected himself with the other 2mg, the hearing was told.

He sounds like my kind of guy!
