It seems that anyone who does not buy into the orthodox opinion is outcast.

What exactly is the orthodox opinion? That facts trump speculation? That a single, simple and coherent explanation is better than a tidal wave of contradictory hypotheses? That gravity makes things fall down, not sideways? That the same government that can't tie its own shoelaces is probably not responsible for somehow carrying out flawlessly the most ambitious, convoluted, and just downright wacky scheme in history?
