DC has always been a nice person, even when he used to argue in favour of ideas you think are wrong/mad/dangerous. This thread in light of the demonisation of "truthers" that's going on and is now the major theme of the 911 ct subforum, is really absurd. Pure projection.

I have very different opinions about the "debunkers" here, and many are not very favorable - but no opinion about aggle-rithm at all, f.e. Maybe a "Controlled Demolition" debunker - i don't read those threads.

But who does he think "we" are?

You bring delusions, you need evidence to support your ideas or they become lies and delusions. You bring lies and delusions as your evidence and spew failed moronic opinions. Not very skeptical and zero critical thinking are involved as you cut and paste your plagiarized opinions on 911.

You fail to see Heiwa can't use physics or engineering to prove his point so he repeats his lie over and over. If you can't figure out Heiwa is telling a lie you lack knowledge and instead of complaining about Heiwa persistence by blaming those who have knowledge you should gain knowledge and show us all up how smart and great you are; but you only talk and failed to provide calculations to show Heiwa wrong. If you had evidence your support for moronic conclusions on 911 would fade into the background. When will that happen? Heiwa has a problem posting delusions, the same with you.

Heiwa = 3. Those who present their case about the conspiracy theory by simply stating unfounded conclusions over and over again. Which one are you?

The mere fact that this place has any rules at all, coupled with truthers´ absolute inability to abide by these rules, and their stubborn refusal to admit when they violate rules, already leads to whingeing about censorship among the truthers - didn´t you notice?

Nothing we could do, short of granting every truther complete exemption from all rules, and at the same time permanently banning every debunker on the forum, could possibly make the truthers stop claiming censorship.

It is therefore pointless not to do something, in a doomed attempt to appease the truthers.

You have to understand that releaseeabode subscribes to the logical fallacy that if you ignore the person you disagree with, you automatically win the argument, or an "argumentum ad ignoreantiam":rolleyes:

As much as I hate to admit it, he sort of has a point, and this is coming from one of the 700 people currently on his ignore list.

I merely observed that a poster and a topic that could have been done with in less than 50 posts has two threads with over 2000 posts in. The posts are mostly irrelevant but the eye does get drawn to a thread that contains a lot of traffic.

Go across to EVC forums and take a look.

Which I thought looked interesting, a fairly obvious winner for this forum. Started reading first page, very interesting, the sort of stuff that could be a staging post for getting minds opened.

I didn't see any trolling "Truthers" in that thread just some honest and open exchanging. Then, in the following pages, two moderator warnings and two pages of bickering and irrelevance. Thread effect destroyed.

You guys are lucky that "Truthers" do come onto this forum because I'm sure that if they didn't you would implode. It seems that anyone who does not buy into the orthodox opinion is outcast. While there are people far away from that orthodoxy they are the target but, if they were removed you would just turn on next furthest group. Agnositicism is not acceptable to the most fundamentalist Atheist.

That's who you are.

actually if truthers stopped coming this section of the forum would get pretty quiet and probably be closed

debunking requires a steady stream of bunk :D

Given that the poster in question simply repeats his assertions in response to counter-arguments and will continue to do so ad nauseam, how would you describe a situation in which the subject is "done with"?

I have a theory that the CT mindset is all about leveling the playing field. You take the atrocities away from the scary, evil people, and attribute them to people in authority and who are admired and respected by many. In one, fell swoop you have disarmed the evil and discredited the powerful. Now the CT's, armed with the "truth", are no longer non-entities surfing the web in their mothers' basements. Suddenly, they are right there in the game along with everyone else -- as long as no one destroys the illusion by insisting that they actually articulate what they believe.

A pleasant fantasy for them, I'm sure, but not one I'd want to share. I prefer reality.
