The Secret can be taken as right-wing propaganda. We all know how the right feels about welfare (cough, splutter). :)

Don't feel bad. The right is just as moronic over here, in what used to be called "godzone" (= god's own) country.

Like I said, it's many things and it's offensive in so many ways all at once but who said anything about politics?! It's a wishful thinking fantasy about getting a new car and a trip to Jamaica and nothing DIRECTLY to do with Katrina or the Holocaust or poverty or AIDS or anything else.
