CPAC 2021

Its a weird enough shape that I lean towards 2. Seriously, though, lefties who recognize the symbol almost certainly out number right wing racists who do. I doubt even most white supremecists even know what it is.

For reference, this is questionable - this is one of those symbols that's actually quite popular among the far-right - it was on quite a few flags at the Unite the Right Rally, including one photo here, held by the NSM, or the National Socialist Movement - which...I mean it's right in the name. The link includes a brief discussion about how the NSM used these to replace the swastika.

Guess who designed that Nazi stage? The same people who designed the stage at Biden's Cancer Summit in 2018 and the Nelson Mandela 100 Year Gala in 2016.

That's CPAC's problem. They were on the stage that looked like a Nazi symbol. The blow just has to land; it doesn't have to fair, just or even honest. If it hurts the attendees and organizers, if it supports an association of Nazis with CPAC it's okay. January 6th justifies anything you do to damage Trump and Trump supporters, regardless of how immoral, unethical or dishonest.

I hear there were very fine people at CPAC, who just happen to be deeply concerned about mass immigration from ******** countries.

The OK symbol was just straight up trolling that worked remarkably well. Literally just folks saying, "the OK symbol is a symbol of white supremecy" and seeing what happened. It worked amazingly well. Lefties kvetching about ok hand signs and hawaiin shirts looked far more foolish that the right wing types flashing ok signs and sporting hawaiin shirts looked sinister.

Why would any sane person want to troll people into thinking they are white supremacists? I mean, ha ha those stupid liberals, but in the meantime people think you're a Nazi. That doesn't sound like a win.

Seemingly a common sentiment on our Forum of late. Not one I share.
Has Trump broken us?

No, I can't say that.

Winning with lies can only harm. It builds an anti-democratic legacy that will be just as harmful. It may help us knock down one Trump, but it sets up the next.

We don't actually win except by better selling accurate facts. That is the battle here.

No, that’s just Craig. I skip his posts because they are too mean for me. I’m not even sure he’s not just one of our performance artists.

As performance art, it is practically "meta". Demonstrating our willingness to tolerate from our own the same type of behavior we vilify our political opponents over.

Come to think of it, it does remind me of someone I argued with on reddit, that I found in another subreddit bragging on how they were pretending to be a liberal to cause conflict.

That doesn't prove anything about Craig of course. It just seemed familiar.

as far as the Fox Conservatives are concerned, we have already lost the country, and the only thing to do now is to salt the earth to make sure that the Commies don't enjoy their victory.
