Corbyn's days (very) numbered?

Some people got confused about her religion, for some reason they thought she was Roman Catholic, I think they got confused about her being an Anglo-Catholic i.e. Church of England.

ETA: Just realised - I think what's confused you is the "May a Catholic and Ruth ...."? He was referring to Theresa May i.e. "[Theresa] May and Ruth ...."

Specifically, Anglo Catholic means someone in the C of E ...(or any other Anglican Church) who is "High Church" as opposed to "Low Church".

Well it appears that the answer to the OP is yet again, no. He's always struck me as having the charisma of a traffic accident and yet he seems to have encouraged a significant number of young people to get out and vote Labour.

I am cynical enough to think Corbyn's promises to scrap college tuition and give out generous grants to college students had something to do with his popularity among young people.

Yes that is democracy in action but also now very sensible public policy as we move into an era where more jobs will be automated or replaced by AI, Robotics and machine learning then the only chance for young people to get employment will be education particularly in the fields of science, technology, engineering and maths or in managing or supporting or educating people in those fields as they become the main delivery mechanisms for all of our products and services.

That's kind of how it works,
if people like your policies then they vote for you, where does cynicism come into it?

Because it is very expensive thing to promise to do; it was promised to start immediately; and there were no coherent plans as to where the money was coming from. It's easy to promise to do things when you don't think you have to deliver them.;)

Losing 318 to 261 against a 'very weak' Conservative campaign makes him a 'great campaigner'? That's an interesting assessment.

He gained seats with virtually all the corrupt press + financial groups against him.
What a surprise!
Yeah
And as I am reading now, 90% of the people writing here were already saying that Corbyn would ave bankrupt the Labour and they were wrong

He lost because of a conspiracy? Tell me more.

Also, Corbyn may not have bankrupt Labour, but he would have certainly bankrupt the UK.

Never mind, though. He will never be PM. His days are indeed numbered.

And, as I said earlier in this thread, I'm hardly a right winger, being a rusted on Australian Labor Party supporter.

Not what I said

Your unrequested opinion

See above

Again, unrequested opinion

Stick to the point
You claimed Corbyn would have bankrupted the Labour Party (or better, put the L party in oblivon) and under him they gained seats

I admit, i made two fundamental miscalculations which led to me not anticipating corbyn not losing disastrously:
Firstly, I thought that the Tories would run a somewhat competent campaign, rather than threatening to shoot their core vote in the foot.
Secondly, I thought that more young people (i.e. under 50) possessed patriotism or descernment (one of the most amazing myths is that Corbyn is a decent man. .. about on a level with Brown being careful with public spending).

I felt that Corbyn would do better than most people were expecting him to, but I still underestimated the result. Now the former is not because I thought more highly of Corbyn and his abilities (the opposite), but because my expectations of the general population have pretty much bottomed out. I predicted that Trump would win the Presidency almost a year out. I see little difference between Trump and Corbyn. Both are colossally incompetent. Both have an immovable base who either don't care or love their guy for that very reason. Most of the West has a case of the stupids. We will hit rock bottom before we start to recover.

I would nitpick on that. The High Church side of the Anglican spectrum embraces many shades, one of which is the Anglo Catholic movement. Most High Church followers disagree with key AC tenets such as the Anglican church being a branch of Catholicism rather than a Protestant denomination.
But then even the Anglo Catholics have splits; there is a self-styled " Liberal Catholic" wing for example that mixes Catholic doctrine with elements of Protestant social liberalism.

Don't forget the People's Front for the Popular Liberation of Anglo Catholicism.

It is impossible to bankrupt the UK. The Bank of England can print as much money as it wishes.
